We took a friend of mature years out for her birthday , she had never been to Clitheroe before so was delighted when we had morning coffee at the Emporium ,part of the same group , Jame's Places. We then walked around Clitheroe then drove and went for lunch at the Waddington Arms ,it was a Friday so whilst it... More

Six of us stayed here for two nights and we had a great time .The accommodation was lovely .It was clean and very tasteful .It was a bit noisy as the pub is below so take your earplugs along or if you can't beat em join em ! If your room is at the front of the building then prepare... More

We stayed at the Waddington Arms for one night and really enjoyed the experience! The room was cold when we arrived and we were quickly given a heater. The staff were great and all credit to Andrew who leads by example and does a first class job! He goes out of his way to make people welcome and look after... More

The "Wad" is a proper pub with stone floors, good beer, open fires, very friendly staff and a wonderful atmosphere. My wife had the sea food platter OMG, what a fantastic platter, I thought she would struggle to finish, I was wrong! My meal was steak and ale/mushroom pie with well cooked vegetables (no mushy carrots here) and to die... More

I was introduced to the Waddington Arms by friends and booked a couple of rooms DBB for my son's birthday (a special one!). It was a fabulous experience in its entirety. The staff couldn't do enough for us, absolutely nothing was too much trouble. We were waited on hand and foot, the food was a gastronomic delight from starter to... More

The Waddington Arms is a small bed and breakfast that is a real gem of a find. The room we stayed in was immaculate, comfy bed and warm. The food served downstairs was tasty and excellent value for money. The staff were attentive and ensured that our evening meal was thoroughly enjoyable. The portions were huge and very filling !.... In our ninth year of going to the Waddington Arms - cannot say how continually excellent the experience is. The place is a haven, great staff and service, food and a wonderfully comfortable room. Really amazing. Thank you Andrew and your staff for a really lovely stay.

Four of us (two couples) stayed at the Waddington Arms midweek in mid February. We were met and checked in by Andrew (the manager I think) who was very obliging and he also showed us to our rooms. Ours was a good size with a massive bed and furnished with items that were probably modern but looked antique which was... More
