We stayed here for 2 nights. We were greeted by Andrew who made us incredibly welcome. We had a bedroom on the front overlooking the square, where we could see all the comings and goings of a thriving, beautiful village. The room was decorated as if it was ready for a photo-shoot for "Homes and Gardens". Verytasteful with top quality... More

What an ideal stop over the Waddington Arms is. It is hard to find somewhere that caters for folk that like a nice quiet pint in pleasant and charming surroundings and this place has it all. Lovely rooms, quiet bar with no music and good food at reasonable prices, not to mention reasonably priced wine. The garden is also a... More

Really pleased I chose the Waddie Arms - I cannot fault the hotel for comfort & service. Only negative was the clock across the road chiming every hour throughout the night but that is not something the Management can fix. I will use earplugs next time and still stay at the hotel as it is delightful

Stayed here for two nights and dined in one night. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent and accompanied by a good choice of beers and wines. Breakfasts were freshly prepared and good quality. All staff were friendly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Room wise you need to think of this as a pub with a... More

We have stayed overnight on a previous occasion - Waddington Arms is a charming little pub in a wonderful picturesque location. This is our second time here for a meal and all I can say is Wow! Absolutely superb! We had Curry Spiced Cod Loin, Saag Aloo & Basmati Rice and it was excellent. Andrew is a perfect host &... More

We and our friends have always loved this place. So do lots of others as it is not easy to get in unless booking way ahead. Didn't use to be like this but you can't keep a good thing to yourselves. The landlord is attentive and amusing, staff very good and food never disappoints. Beer excellent.

We stayed at the waddington arms as we had a wedding nearby. The rooms were nice with the most amazing comfy bed! The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. On the first night of our stay we ate in the restaurant which was of a really high standard, and once again amazing service. Would 100% recommend,... More

Stayed here on 9th Jan as going to a wedding at Eaves Hall. Lovely front of house room just a shame we didn't have a lot of time to enjoy! Great breakfast and we hope to be back soon to enjoy the wonderful hospitality!

This is a sort of, 2 for the price of 1 review for The Waddy as it covers 2 visits in a short space of time ! Our first visit was with 2 other couples on New Years Eve, booked 14 months previous to get a room ! As expected, The Waddy was packed to the rafters but we decided,... More
