Our journey north to visit friends was quicker than we expected and we arrived at the hotel well before checking-in time. "No problem" said the member of staff who greeted us at the bar. We had entered the pub end and not the hotel end but it obviously didn't matter to the staff. Our room was ready and we could... More

We stayed here for one night, whilst attending a friends wedding just down the road at the Shireburn Arms. When we arrived we got told our room wasn't ready so another room was found for us, which was clean and a reasonable size. We weren't given any information about the hotel, timings of breakfast etc. We dropped our bags off... More

Hello many thanks for your feedback regarding your stay. If you weren't informed around breakfast times I can only apologize and to rectify this now and for the future we'll display these times at reception as well as brief all staff that this has to be done on any customer arrival. Also a little flexibility if we failed to inform... More

We had been on a long walk by the River Ribble and stopped at the Bayleys for a drink and food. It was all superb, the service couldn't have been better and the food was delicious. We will definitely go again - a perfect end to a perfect day!!

First time we've been but will definitely be going back. Everything was first rate my husband had the minted lamb suet pudding from the specials board and I had the huge gammon with all the trimmings...... Both excellent. A nice bottle of wine not badly priced all served in lovely surroundings by a young waitress who was polite and attentive... More

The Bayley Arms is situated in lovely Lancashire countryside, and offers comfortable rooms, great food and very friendly staff. We were quite a big group but they coped cheerfully with our different requests and nothing was too much trouble.

For the second time in three years, we have taken a party of 15 adults to stay at the Bayley Arms for a two day break and as a base for a walking holiday. The location of the venue is ideal for many walks. The rooms are spacious and the staff extremely helpful and obliging. Before dinner, tables were re-organised... More

We went to a wedding at a local venue and stayed here. Best decision of the trip. The staff were wonderful and really made every effort to be welcoming. We had drinks with them and they were so friendly and funny, it made us decide to come back some time soon. It's all about service and this isn't polished -... More

Had an early evening meal there with friends, service good but got a bit busy 7pm onwards. It would seem when it gets busy the service suffers. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the food was ok as it was an early starter menu.

I ate at the Bayley Arms Hotel over the bank holiday, the food was excellent. We had been on a walk locally and we were enticed in by the smell of the food from outside, we were not disappointed! The staff behind the bar were extremely helpful and recommended a brill starter! Once we finished our drinks the barmaid came... More

Turned up for a snack after a local walk and was pleased to get a table as this was Easter Sunday and we had expected it to be packed out. (It was reasonably full but well within limits I'd have thought.) We ordered food (sandwiches and ciabattas) plus drinks and sat down to wait. The drinks took about 5/7 minutes... More

A rural retreat. Hand Pulled ale and mouth-watering meals. The romantic lighting, flag stoned floor, sturdy tables and log fire in the main bar all create a heavenly rural retreat full of character, intimacy and charm. The public bar is the hub of the local community, serving as the base for Stonyhurst Park Golf Club, the village football team and the cricket club. Sky Sports is back, available to view in our bars. There is a tantalising range of hand pulled ales on offer, together with a mouth-watering array of imaginative but unpretentious bar meals.
