We stayed here as my son was getting married at the Shireburn arms. The room was very tired, stains on the carpet and no cold water in the bathroom sink. Generally neede a major refurbishment. Management were not available.

Decided to call at The Bailey Arms, Hurst Green with my husband, for an early evening meal on Tuesday and had the chicken fillet with mashed potatoes, veg and gravy. Lots of chicken which was lovely and tender and also had a side dish with new potatoes, sugar snap peas and carrots. Generous portions- was well presented and we couldn't... More

I visited friends a couple of weekends ago and we spent the night at the Bayley. Laura (landlady) and her team were very welcoming and the pub is very relaxing and full of character. The food was excellent - I've eaten here before and it's always been good but the steak pudding was the best I've had anywhere - highly... More

I organised an evening meal at the Bailey Arms with Laura Tyson (Landlady) for 14 people all eating different items from the menu. Laura was very helpful in sending me the menus in advance. The main meals came out very quickly and the standard was excellent. The deserts were also very tasty and well presented. The waitresses and bar staff... More

Although our stay was comfortable and rooms fairly clean (gap on side of bath could do with a wipe down where it had gathered dirt/dust), what this place offers in accommodation is not worth the price. Cereal and cooked breakfast available, both average. A shame that orange squash was served on the second morning rather than orange juice! Staff pleasant... More

We found the rooms comfortable and the staff friendly. There was plenty of choice on the menu. The bar emptied out quite early which detracted from the ambience somewhat, but we had no complaints. Stoneyhurst college is nearby.

Visited the Bayley Arms for lunch after completing a lengthy walk in the area one Friday afternoon. Was quiet when we arrived. Pub well laid out, very spacious and lots of room between tables, nice atmosphere. Staff attentive and friendly. Food was quick to arrive and very delicious. My husband had the cajun chicken and bacon sandwich with home cooked... More

We had a bracing walk around the picturesque area of Hurst Green starting and finishing at The Bayley Arms. We had a lovely welcome from the waitress/barmaid who pointed out the specials board and the fact we could have 20% discount if we filled in a short form. The pub was very quiet but it was a cold blustery Tues... More

We booked in here for two nights as we were attending a wedding at a nearby venue and we were very impressed. We had two rooms (2 & 6); one for ourselves and one for my wife's parents. Both rooms were very clean, a good size with good sized ensuites, and comfortable. Breakfast consisted of fruit, cereals, choice of fruit... More

Comfortable rooms. Good breakfast and good beer. It would be great if the showers were a little more powerful to scrub away a fuzzy morning head...but they are perfectly adequate. However, the best thing about this hotel and pub are the wonderful staff. They could not be more helpful and pleasant. Thank you for looking after us, it was a... More
