We went Clitheroe for a wedding and my husband and I booked a room and some friends booked other rooms. The room was fabulous with good facilities, views and a four poster bed. The staff were extremely friendly and the stay was a joy.

I was travelling with my Dad and went to Clitheroe without booking accommodation, tourist information has minimal info on B + B's so had to go door knocking. As soon as we walked into the Swan and Royal we were made to feel welcome by the lovely chap behind the bar. The owner was called to try to sort some... More

Stayed on a Sunday night so it wasn't noisy at all. I'd booked a twin room and we were given the wonderful Churchill room with kingsize double and 2 singles, loads of room and very comfortable. Excellent shower. Yes a bit odd having to pay in advance but in this case we were not disappointed. Friendly staff.

Hi Many thanks for taking the time to write this review, I'm pleased that the room, staff, food etc was all to your satisfaction. As to the paying in advance its not really in advance, its on arrival. I do appricate that its not perfect but in a way its no different than going to a Hilton etc where unless... More

My self and my wife stayed here on Saturday 10th May as we were attending a wedding in the local area. I must say from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out the staff/mangers couldn't have done more. The hotel it's self is a little gem in what is such a beautiful part of Lancashire. The... More

We arrived to find that the diner we had booked was not available due to the disco on a Friday. The twin room booking had been ignored and initially we're directed towards a double. We were then moved to a twin above the disco. Disco ran until 1am and the room felt like the scene from Jurassic park when the... More

Booked in for a Saturday night stay, to attend a wedding celebration nearby. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Good selection of real ales on the bar. The menu looked good, although I only had the breakfast. This was well presented, tasty and filling. The room had en-suite, basic but cosy, with a free-view TV. The hotel is in... More

Waited an hour for food when it wasn't busy. Food was pretty bad when it came. No cutlery out, tables were dirty etc. The plate was swimming in grease and all I could taste was old chip fat. Go somewhere else. They're not trying hard enough and don't deserve your money.

We were also their that Thursday. The staff were helpful and friendly. A good pub atmosphere with a mixture of visitors and locals. The food was good honest pub grub...my sizzling steak was tasty and cooked just how I like it and my husband was more than happy with his water buffalo. Would we recommend....of course abd we already have.... More

Re your review of our hotel. To get a review so scathing as this is very upsetting not only for us but for our staff also. We do all try to give a good service and basically look after all our customers whilst providing good home cooked food at a reasonable price. However I will try and address the issues... More
