If you are not part of a wedding party staying at the hotel i would not recommend this spot. We stayed on an evening where there was a wedding the following day and happened to be the only non wedding guests in the hotel. We were put in the room opposite the brides maids so at 6.30 am there was... More

Superb home cooked food and friendly staff really lift this hotel cum conference venue cum retreat house into another league. Every meal is freshly prepared and imaginatively cooked. A reasonable choice is available. The staff are attentive, good natured and friendly. The bedrooms are comfortable and quietly situated for a good night's sleep. All in all, I could not wanted... My wedding reception took place here on the 16th November 2014, and I can't recommend Whalley Abbey highly enough. From the planning stages through to bidding farewell to the last guest, the staff were exemplary. Thanks to their professionalism, there were no bridezilla moments! Warm, welcoming and the most beautiful backdrop to our special day, I'm so pleased we chose... More

Our daughter's wedding took place at Whalley Abbey on 4 October 2014, and we cannot praise everyone there enough for their huge contribution to the enjoyment of the celebration. The friendly professionalism of the team and manager shone through, both in the run up to the day, and on the day itself - Roger, as M.C., was a star and... More

Stayed here many times for Christian youth events, it never disappoints! The rooms are lovely and comfortable. Most recently stayed in the Williams room which had the added benefit of a beautiful view of the grounds! The staff are amazing and willing to help with anything a all. The food is always so delicious, and there's always loads of it.... More

We stayed over Tuesday to Thursday night, taking advantage of a brilliant 3 nights for the price of 2 deal, and have to say that the whole experience at this location was brilliant. My partner had been here on a previous occasion with one of her friends (who also has already booked another stay), and from their description of the... More

We attended a wedding at the Abbey in July. Stunning location steeped in history. Both the Abbey and the local church are charming. The staff at the abbey could not do enough, we stayed overnight with our 8month old baby and the staff ensured out stay was comfortable and hassle free. The rooms are basic but comfortable and spacious. Highly... More

A group of us from a Wildlife Trust spent 4 nights based at Whalley Abbey. Everyone in the Abbey contributed to making our stay such a good and memorable one. Without exception, members of the group commented on the wonderful place that Whalley Abbey is and the special atmosphere both in and around it. Both the food and the accommodation... More

An amazing place to stay and absorb the atmosphere. Set in the grounds of a medieval abbey, with remains still to be seen. Part of the abbey was rebuilt as a house - itself steeped in history and complete with its own park and river. Situated in the beautiful village of Whalley, with the countryside of the Ribble valley and... More
