The food was okay, but the main problem was the service that we were given. Felt as though we were an inconvenience to the landlord and his members of staff. Barely anyone else was in the pub so we would have expected to be welcomed, but that was not the case. Would certainly not revisit or recommend.

We reviewed The Parkers Arms on tripadvisor, the food was given rave reviews, pictures of the rooms look lovely, crisp cotton sheets, lovely view so after booking a nights accommodation, evening meal & breakfast myself and my wife arrived at the hotel full of expectation of a lovely weekend away, in a country pub!!!!!.Warm welcome... Then reality hit, the room... More

For my brother's birthday as a family we decided to go on a countryside walk where we had booked a table for 5 at the Parkers Arms. After a cold and wet walk, it was a relief to have a warm, delicious meal next to a fire. The service was great and food was amazing! Three of us had the... More

I met up with a friend visiting Lancashire from London and went to the Parkers Arms for a snack. We were greeted to a roaring fire and the landlord recognising my friend had been here before. We were presented with a single page menu that was tightly prepared. The food came quickly and was well presented. The quality was also... More

We arrived to a very warm welcome by the owner. The fire was lit and beautiful. We were then shown to our rooms. Unfortunately there was water damage on the ceiling and wall, together with mould around the windows. There was a note on the door to explain that this had happened over night. The owner was very understanding and... More

We arrived to the Parkers Arms on a Friday night at midnight and were warmly welcomed by a fun and caring host who had waited up for us as we had travelled from London after work. We were quickly shown to our room, the only room taken at the venue, which was not as we imagined as when we had... More

We ate here on a rainy Saturday lunch time. The food was excellent. I had a pea and ham soup for a starter which was beautifully fresh and light. My husband had black pudding sausage roll which was full of flavour with a really light batter. For the main I had a chicken and garlic pie- beautiful! My husband had... More

Booked a table for 10 a month in advance as part of my mother in law's 70 birthday celebration. Travelled 140 miles to discover on arrival a closed Parkers Arms with the lights off and nothing but a chalk board in front of the door saying "Closed for kitchen maintenance." I accept things go wrong sometimes but a phone call... More

The landlord is very friendly and explained the menu to us. The pub is very cosy with an open fire, perfect for cold winter days. The food was incredible and very reasonably priced. There is a large outdoor area so we will be returning in summer!
