Amazing pies as always, dog friendly and a lovely birthday lunch. The staff were friendly and the food devine! Such a treat to have on the doorstep and the elderflower fizz (none alcoholic) was superb!

If the option had been there, I would have given this 2.5 / 5. My boyfriend had wanted to try The Parkers Arms for some time, so this weekend we decided to go. I have noticed that a lot of reviewers are from patrons who also stayed overnight - we only had lunch. We had heard very positive things about... More

Stayed here and had dinner here. Room was just about clean enough but decidedly second rate with tatty bathroom. We certainly won't stay again. A pity as the food is well above average - some sophisticated touches and good atmosphere in the bar area.

Outstanding pub food. Amazing value, mid week, for dinner bed and breakfast. The landlord was very friendly and the menu unusual. For example who has had lamb and cockle pie, excellent! I think we had the best bedroom but even then the bathroom was disappointing.

I concur with previous reviewers as to the ambiance of the upstairs room where they put non regulars. Yes it is like a morgue!. Booked a table here for a Sat night and place was really busy. They told us they put us here because someone turned up half an hour late!. Food was really nice I have to admit... More

We were made very welcome here. The pub was busy and the hosts explained we might have a bit of a wait for food. It was no problem however as the fire was roaring and our border terrier pub was snuggled in front of it ! The 3 courses we enjoyed for lunch were truly excellent. I'm a foody and... More

The food was okay, but the main problem was the service that we were given. Felt as though we were an inconvenience to the landlord and his members of staff. Barely anyone else was in the pub so we would have expected to be welcomed, but that was not the case. Would certainly not revisit or recommend.

Then reality hit, the room... More

For my brother's birthday as a family we decided to go on a countryside walk where we had booked a table for 5 at the Parkers Arms. After a cold and wet walk, it was a relief to have a warm, delicious meal next to a fire. The service was great and food was amazing! Three of us had the... More

I met up with a friend visiting Lancashire from London and went to the Parkers Arms for a snack. We were greeted to a roaring fire and the landlord recognising my friend had been here before. We were presented with a single page menu that was tightly prepared. The food came quickly and was well presented. The quality was also... More
