We had not planned on staying in this area but glad we did. This hotel was recommended by a sister hotel that was full. They have managed to mix a very old traditional dark building with some modern glamour, and have done it very well. The bar area was lovely and split into trendy bar and seating area with a... More

We got married here in October and couldn't fault anything. The organisation was spot on, and everything went as I had hoped, but even better than I had expected! The staff were very attentive from the very first day we booked the venue, up until leaving the morning after the wedding. Dave, the toastmaster, was exceptional. His attention to detail... More

I would NOT recommend this hotel under any circumstances, the buildings next to the hotel seem to have a lot of dogs, so I presume it is a kennels. The dogs barked most of the night and certainly from 6am. The meals served were of minute proportions. The lady serving breakfast seemed rather put out when we asked for extra... More

My husband and I have just got back from a two day break at Mitten Hall, we have had numerous stays there over the past eighteen years and have never failed to be impressed, this place really does have the wow factor, it really is a stunning setting for a romantic getaway and the staff make you feel so at... Mitton Hall is a lovely wedding venue, I have been here twice all day for my friend's weddings. The food is lovely, the room and ground are beautiful, Dave the master of ceremonies is amazing. The first time we stayed was May 2013, we stayed in the suite with the hunting theme, which was lovely (except from the scary bunny... More

Girlfriend and I went as we'd previously received gift vouchers for Mitten Hall. Think we spent the £50 voucher all on booze! Very nice place, lovely grounds, friendly staff, good selection of cocktails, food was very nice but was quite expensive. I didn't mind paying a lot as I had a really good time there, however it's not the sort... More

Unfortunately Access difficult for people with mobility problems to reach their room . Beautiful listed building but difficult in dully lit first floor corridors with intermittent steps and no handrails or banisters on the corridors .. Also no handrail in the bath for someone less steady . Otherwise a truly beautiful hotel with sumptuous food and first class service. Room... More

Beautiful exquisite old (15th century) B&B. I was in Burnley for business and we had dinner with a group of guys there. Amazing bar, good beer and nice feel. It feels looks like a Haunted mansion straight out of the Adams family but is all good. Food was not so good, but the night was great.

We had afternoon tea, dinner, breakfast and lunch here during a 2 day meeting and all the food was excellent, especially the chocolate brownies in the afternoon tea, had me giggling like a schoolgirl! The surroundings are beautiful, the staff helpful, the room (106) was ok for just me for 1 night but maybe a bit small for 2 people... More

Attended a wedding here. It's a lovely place to stay and a great wedding venue. Lots of areas to sit, very good bar area and great environment to relax. Nice log fires roaring away. Would make a great romantic get away. A real hidden gem that I didn't know about would definitely be back.
