Stumbled upon this place after taking a wrong turn and the magnificence of the place drew me in. A beautiful approach followed by a beautiful interior....led me to the bar; a delightful place...dark and moody yet perfectly lit. Chose a wine from extensive wine menu and was served in the perfect wine glass...sexy ,tall and very Betty Boop...never seen a... More

Arrived at hotel after long day at a conference. Initially impressed by hotel and it's grounds, warm welcome at reception and roaring fires. Perfect on a cold winters day. Had booked standard double, perfect for my needs. Room however severely lacked any sound insulation. Unfortunately for me the hotel was fully booked and i could not move rooms. If you... More

After a very difficult 2 years, we were looking forward to celebrating our daughters special birthday. We booked a Private Room at this beautiful old hotel for the afternoon & evening of Saturday, 16th January and invited family & close friends from as far away as Geneva. Unfortunately, the proceedings didn`t start too well as a snow storm set in... More

This historic building dates back to Tudor times and the main entrance room is very impressive with a huge stone fireplace, dark wood panelled walls and a minstrel gallery. All the floors creak and the staircases are crooked, just as they should be in a building of this age - great building for a period drama! The food we ate... More

We booked in on Monday evening and we're delighted to have been given a complementary upgrade to the Kings Room. Upon entering this beautiful hotel we were amazed by the beauty of the magnificent fire place vaulted ceiling and minstrels gallery. We received a warm welcome from the receptionist, and had a drink in the bar. The room was fabulously... More

Took the family for afternoon tea for our daughters birthday. A beautiful place with a lovely atmosphere. However the customer service did not reflect the initial booking service. When I phoned, the lady could not do enough to help me and I was blown away by how accommodating she was. It was just a little disappointing when we got there.... More

Attended a friend's wedding here and had never visited before. It's an impressive 15th century property which has been superbly maintained and oozes character pretty much throughout. The lounge bar is very comfortable and the tapas on offer second to none. The decor and furniture are sympathetic with the property as a whole and the lobby in particular is quite... More

Its near to Whalley in the the Ribble Valley and as we were bought this night away with Dinner it was somewhere we haven't been and were looking forward to Stayed in the King Suite which I think is one of the better suites. Its a large room with a nice 4 poster bed. The large bathroom was good too... More

What a beautiful place the Ribble Valley is. And Mitton Hall is no exception. Built hundreds of years ago in the era of Henry the Seventh, it is a grand old Hall/Manor house that offers a lovely setting, individually decorated Suites (the Mitton and Ribble are my favorites) that have views over landscape ahead and a highly rated restaurant downstairs.... We had the pleasure of staying in this hotel over Christmas and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is full of character, whilst the bedroom was so modern and comfortable. Breakfast was perfect, with an extensive menu. Would highly recommend this hotel.
