This hotel is a little gem; a county house type hotel that has excellent, friendly service. I stayed here for one night while working locally and had a standard room. It was exactly as described and more than adequate. Dinner was excellent if a little overpriced. Top marks for service all round.

We stayed in this hotel for one night and the room we were given, standard double, was very small. It did not have a table or chair, there were no drawers of any kind and there was a huge mirror in a very odd sort of frame just propped against the wall. This is a potential health hazard as it... A wonderful setting for our large family wedding. This is an excellent venue for a wedding ceremony. The large room with the orangery gave an opportunity for the sun to shine on the bride and groom ! The staff were welcoming and helpful. Our wedding breakfast was praised by all for large portions of tasty food that came to the... More

This was the third time we had visited Mitton Hall. It was always top class, beautiful surroundings, pleasant staff and good food. I am sorry to say that we were disappointed with the dinner menu on this visit which apparently has recently been changed to a-la-carte only. My husband was pleased with his choices on both evenings but I was... More

I recently attended Mitton Hall on Saturday 29th March 2014 for lunch with a group of friends. It was a beautiful sunny day and we thought that in view of the wonderful surroundings at Mitton Hall it would be a perfect place to have lunch with friends. When we arrived our intention was to have a drink in the bar... More

Beautiful old Hall in stunning surroundings overlooking the River Ribble.Idyllic venue for a wedding. The huge conservatory extension and patio area very impressive. Beautifully decorated and food excellent but veg a bit too al dente for me.I could see that some of the people who were not at the wedding were feeling a bit overwhelmed by the amount of wedding guests... We were honored to be invited to a wedding reception at Mitton Hall, from the moment we arrived you are made very welcome. The way they set all the tables out and the decor is breathtaking. The views from the patio is also stunning, The food and service was first class and plentiful. What a super day to remember.

My husband and I celebrated our Golden Wedding Lunch at Mitton Hall. We had 28 guests for lunch in their private dining room on the first floor. The room is beautiful and the food was excellent. On arrival we were having pre-drinks in the public area of the hotel which we had arranged before going upstairs to the dining area.... More

We have just stayed 2 nights at Mitton Hall. We loved the hotel, it has such a lot of history and character. We stayed in the Queens Suite, beautiful room with a great bathroom and a nice view. The hotel has a welcoming atmosphere with open fires. Great food and wine. David is a great asset, very welcoming and great... More

We stayed at Mitton Hall on the 10th of December so there was a magical christmasy atmosphere as soon as we walked through the doors, there was a ginormous christmas tree next to a huge fireplace which had a lovely roaring fire burning away. My partner had surprised me with this night away and it was our very first night... More
