We visited as group of twelve to celebrate our sons 18th birthday. I had taken a birthday cake earlier in the day. We ordered Prosecco on arrival and ran out quickly, shortly after our second bottle had arrived we were invited to go to our table. (In my opinion the waiter was a little over familiar) There was no offer... More

WE have visited this place many times and went there again for a Sunday Lunch, this time we were only given the Sunday lunch menu, not the al a carte, It was a 3 course meal with coffee, so it looked good. First course was OK but menial portions, the main was the Lamb dinner which both my wife and... More

We had our annual RAF Boy Entrants Reunion at the Pines Hotel for the second year running, It was Absolutely Brilliant, We had the private use of the Latham room, with a beautifully laid out table. The evening meal was excellent as were the staff, nothing was too much trouble. We had the standard bedrooms, they all were lovely and... More

We visited The Pines recently and had a great meal, but the head waiter was not at all pleasant, he always seemed to be in a rush. The drinks are far too EXPENSIVE, reduce the prices, if you do people would buy more, we had an average glass of wine, vodka and coke, Coke, and J20 which came to £21.00!!,... More

Stayed at this Hotel with some friends at the beginning of June as we were attending one of the Tribute Nights that they have regularly throughout the year. The negatives are that our double room was quite small and the view from our bedroom was of the back of the hotel which was full of debris. There is a fountain... More

Is there any finer dining in Lancashire? Certainly not at these prices. Had the early bird dinner at £12.50 for 2 courses. My wife and myself had a seafood tagliatelle to start which, with mussels and prawns and balanced spices in a creamy sauce, was excellent. My wife followed this with roast salmon and I had the braised lamb shoulder.... More

I stay in this hotel regularly for business and am surprised to find any negative reviews about the food which is excellent as is the service. The dining room has linen covers, beautifully presented with nice touches like hand cut chocolates with coffee. It feels like a nice meal out which is not always the case when travelling on business.... More

We spent 2 nights in this lovely hotel. Our room was absolutely splendid, beautifully furnished to a very high standard. The staff were attentive and helpful and at all times professional in their duties. We had 2 very good dinners in the smart restaurant and also enjoyed 2 delicious and relaxing breakfasts. The hotel also has a wonderful garden, which... More
