I stayed for two nights at a conference, the staff were brilliant, the hotel was spotless . The rooms very Laura Ashley , but that is not a criticism it's a fact, the beauty of a proper shower as opposed to over the bath was also very welcome. Food good but I must make a couple of observations to stop... More

Strange decor but somehow works in an old fashioned way. Simple menu but food excellent. Initially staff excellent and friendly but the frills were missing, sauces, tartare, ketchup etc not offered. The hosts wife coffee was forgotten and forgotten and then again, despite several requests, only to be asked do you still want it, because we've done the bill. Insisted... More

Jane and Andys wedding was breathtaking, and Jane looked gorgeous, as did Ruby as a fairytale Princess! The Pines did a fabulous job. Yes, it could maybe do with a lick of paint here and there, but its a lovely place with beautiful gardens that are well kept, and the food was really lovely! The staff are a credit to... More

We agreed to stay over here as we were celebrating our friendship ends wedding. The staff were amazing throughout and the wedding was beautifully delivered, however, the accommodation left a lot to be desired with most of the facilities outdated and worn/falling to pieces!!! But.....!! My biggest complaint/concern was the incessant door slamming...from 7am to when we checked out at... More

Stayed recently for a celebration. I guess the overall description could be 'faded elegance' which I liked. Dinner was very good. The food was tasty and plentiful. Waiting staff were pleasant and efficient. Our bedroom was very large and has comfortable seats and a table which so many hotel rooms do not provide, so this was a big plus. The... More

travelled 4 hours for a wedding here and it is a really pretty hotel from the outside and the suite the reception was in was just perfect. We had a great night with our friends in a beautiful setting, drink not too expensive and food was great. the downside to the hotel was definitely the staff and the lack of... More

I am a support worker who was on duty for a retirement party for my Boss, as this was a special night we would be saying goodbye to a great boss and also the company we were employed for. I had 3 service users with me that night, who had been excited all day about this party, and didn't eat... More

Lovely hotel very original decor and the service was fantastic. The owner Betty has kept the high standards for as long as I can remember and is passionate about keeping her guests happy and comfortable. I used to play as a child in the grounds and the gardens and woods surrounding have been well kept to their original States. Very... More
