We stayed the weekend of 12 Sept 2014. We had stayed before and knew how good value this hotel this is. Arrived very early in the morning and the very amiable receptionist had us ensconced in our room within minutes. The room was a little dated but immaculate and large. Far more comfortable than budget, corporate, alternatives. As we were... More

On the plus side, staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was excellent, and it was a lovely clean hotel The downside was, the decor in our room and in some areas of the hotel. It is a beautiful period building and the formal dining area is lovely, but there were far too many unnecessary items of furniture cluttering the building.... More

The staff were lovely and the breakfast was delicious. The building and grounds were stunning. The bathroom was lovely and very modern, however the room we stayed in was very old fashioned and contained (DIY) 'distressed' furniture, which looked awful. The room also contained 2 armchairs and when I sat in one the arm fell off! The clock radio was... More

Stayed in this cheaply priced budget hotel , it's friendly and good value for the money . The room I stayed in was a bit dated and the shower was a plastic hose type shower , we ate in the restaurant the meal was hot and well cooked it did cost a little more then norm , but the service... More

As you may see in other reviews "quirky" is often applied to this surprising hotel. Just of a main road but completely hidden the building seems out of a Gothic Horror. Inside you could be in a small town museum. Oddments abound in the public arrears and ones room. Main feature of mine was a four poster bed complete with... More

We recently lost a dear family member in the Burnley area and booked in two nights at Roseville House Hotel. The hotel looked beautiful on the web sites and we were not disappointed! What a fabulously characterful hotel. Every room seemed different and the architecture of the old building was absolutely wonderful, especially the ceilings in the hotels public rooms.... More

We stayed 2 nights-- on the second, there were no standard double rooms but we were given the executive double at the same price-- thank you! Décor-wise, the two rooms were totally different and interesting in their own way. Great views! Breakfast was fantastic, and all the staff were very friendly. Only regret-- we didn't get to try Kel's Big... More

Great place for all of quirkiness and character! Only stayed one night, however my husband and I found the place to be very clean and the food was excellent. Staff were very helpful and polite, breakfasts were lovely. What definitely like to return!!

What a fantastic place to stay when visiting Burnly. The hotel is a period property, built in the 1900's with plenty of original features and furnishings, that's not to say that they are falling apart, the bed was fantastic. The breakfast gives you a fantastic start to the day and the evening meals are really good value. Good food and... More
