Booked into this hotel overnight, room is lovely French style furniture, bathroom a little dated and as previous reviewers have stated probably a bit cluttered dried flowers that are unnecessary having said that it was spotlessly clean. Comfortable bed, good nights sleep. Booked the evening meal for 8pm was told they where running 10 mins late we where actually seated... More

We went to the Rosehill House Hotel today for funeral lunch. The staff were extremely friendly and the catering was first class! The coffee was also brilliant and hot! Strawberry cheesecake wonderful.

This is a lovely hotel - small and very friendly. A beautiful building with mosaic floors and embellished ceilings but the staff are its best feature. Friendly, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The breakfasts are epic and the coffee is divine!

Fantasic hotel, got a great deal on Laterooms.com. Prompt check-in, we had the attic room, fabulous, low beams, 4 poster bed, great old furniture throughout! We even had cherubs hanging in our room! Friendly staff, phoned a taxi for us and advised us of best places to visit for the nightlife. Central location, great! Breakfast was lovely, cooked fresh, good... More

My wife and I stayed in this little gem of a hotel for Valentines. Even though it was only a few miles from where we live , we were nicely surprised. Upon arrival, check in was very prompt. The hotel style is very 'boutique' , and the décor is lovely in the bar and restaurant. The food was fantastic, really... More

This hotel wins in some ways but not in others. It has a lot of potential. Positives The hotel mosaic floor and embellished ceilings are beautiful. The setting is lovely. The food was good - the roast dinner delicious and a bargain! The breakfast was plentiful and tasty and all waiting on staff were lovely. Unfortunately the actual accommodation lets... More

Many thanks for your feedback. I find some of your comments slightly exagerrated for imapct on the readers and quite offended that you say you were given no apology for your shower not working properly. The receptionist apologised profously to you and offered you an immediate alternative. I realise that this may of caused a slight inconveinaince for you. The... More

Just went for a night and booked in for dinner, bed and breakfast. My husband and I were in a suite - sitting room, bedroom and bathroom - which had loads of space, but was in the attics, with a very creaky floor. Bed (4 poster) was rather old and not very comfy, and the mattress too soft, My grandson's room, a... More

Arrived at the hotel and was greeted by an unmanned reception and had to go looking for someone. This was not the only poor impression I got on entering the place as it really is a shadow of its former self. There are little hints of what was clearly a lovely building at some point, when this was I am... More

What a lovely place this is! We actually live in Burnley which is surrounded by the most amazing countryside, good for walkers and decided to stay here for our 39th Wedding Anniversary, so that we could both enjoy the evening without having to worry about driving home. The bar area and the restaurant are magnificently decorated, well worth a visit... More

The ceilings are masterpieces and beautifully decorated. The Breakfast is excellent, and the ceiling in the Breakfast Room must have been designed by a budding Burnley Michelangelo - it is beautiful! Ideal location for walkers at any time of the year as it is right on the edge of the moors.
