As you may see in other reviews "quirky" is often applied to this surprising hotel. Just of a main road but completely hidden the building seems out of a Gothic Horror. Inside you could be in a small town museum. Oddments abound in the public arrears and ones room. Main feature of mine was a four poster bed complete with... More

We recently lost a dear family member in the Burnley area and booked in two nights at Roseville House Hotel. The hotel looked beautiful on the web sites and we were not disappointed! What a fabulously characterful hotel. Every room seemed different and the architecture of the old building was absolutely wonderful, especially the ceilings in the hotels public rooms.... More

We stayed 2 nights-- on the second, there were no standard double rooms but we were given the executive double at the same price-- thank you! Décor-wise, the two rooms were totally different and interesting in their own way. Great views! Breakfast was fantastic, and all the staff were very friendly. Only regret-- we didn't get to try Kel's Big... More

Great place for all of quirkiness and character! Only stayed one night, however my husband and I found the place to be very clean and the food was excellent. Staff were very helpful and polite, breakfasts were lovely. What definitely like to return!!

What a fantastic place to stay when visiting Burnly. The hotel is a period property, built in the 1900's with plenty of original features and furnishings, that's not to say that they are falling apart, the bed was fantastic. The breakfast gives you a fantastic start to the day and the evening meals are really good value. Good food and... More

I had trouble finding the hotel, but that was probably because I'd had a very long and horrendous journey from the south of England! The staff could not have been more helpful and welcoming, and that remained so of all of them throughout our stay. I'd booked a single room and shared it with my small dog. It was more... More

We stayed this weekend for a reunion of a group of school friends. The service was very efficient and genuinely friendly caring staff. We had a meal in the private dinning restaurant which is superbly decorated to an exceptional standard. We stayed in a suite which was as good as any 5 star hotel I have stayed in with better... Me and my partner booked a room for my sisters wedding. When we arrived we asked for a travel cot for our daughter aged 15 months. After the party we went to bed approx 1.30am. At 2.30am we were bagged up as the hotel had actually given us the travel cot of the bride! They didn't have any others available...... More

I am sorry that you feel this way. The lady whose wedding you attended had arranged the room arrangements for you and had not expressed that you needed a travel cot in the room. Had you maybe mentioned this when you checked in rather than 2.30am in the morning we could have remidied the situation, as it stood all our... More

All past reviews of this hotel mention its quirkyness. This is true, very elaborate decor from the mid 1860s, and lots of false flower arrangements especially in the bedrooms which were not necessary but the staff are really friendly and helpful and the food was good. It was excellent value for money. I have marked down on sleep quality only... More
