Came up for the football. Was perfect. A 5 minutes walk to the ground, and was really easy to get to town as well to catch my train home the day after. Staff were friendly, nice and easy check-in and my stay was comfortable. The price included a great, full English breakfast. Certainly got my day of to a great... more

Stayed at The Alexander when visiting Burnley for the Championship play-off in May09. All was absolutely perfect! Went with my 14 year old son and couldn't fault it. Its a 5 minute walk from Turf Moor. Has its own car-park. Resturant food was well presented and great value, too! Staff were friendly and we were very comfortable in a big... more

We have stayed at the Alexander Hotel before and been very impressed by the high standard of the accommodation and helpful and friendly staff. Our most recent stay was the night of 25th May (bank holiday Monday) following our trip to Wembley to see Burnley win promotion. Our return coach was delayed and we had to phone the Alexander to... more

My wife and I were given the bridal suite for our weekend stay. The room is blessed with solid oak furniture with a four poster bed.The bathroom had a jacuzzi (ideal after a long drive).Food was excellent and staff courteous,I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone. P.S. The all day breakfast is exactly what it is. more

We stayed at the hotel on 27th March 2009 as we was attending a party at the local football club. We arrived at the hotel and it was very welcoming and we had a sandwich and a pot of tea, the lady that was serving was very helpful. Our rooms were very spacious and clean with all the amenities we... more

Went here for family party. Supposed to be a hot buffet. What a joke!!! Rock hard jacket spuds, manky sausages and burnt meatball. That is what the hot buffet consisted off. Put it with a bit of salad and bingo - £14.95 a head. didn't even get a hot drink. WHAT A JOKE. more

We were recommended this hotel to stay in as there was a function being held there that we were invited too. On arrival at the hotel the reception made the hotel look very welcoming and was clean and tidy until we were shown to our room!!! We booked a family room which turned out to be the disabled room, the... more

This is the second time i have stayed at the Alexander, for a week at a time. The staff there are exeptional and nothing is to much bother for them, from the day staff like Sue and Karen to Alan on the night shift. The food is excellent with a good variety menu both in the lounge bar and the... more

If you want to stay at a homely, family run hotel then this is it! The Alexander Hotel was a pleasure to stay in. The staff were polite, friendly, accomadating, and were nothing but helpful. Myself and 3 friends stayed at the hotel for a week, and it was a perfect place to stay if you wanted somewhere peaceful and... more
