The decision to extend our stay in Whitstable (for a friend's birthday party on Saturday) to Friday night as well was a great move. We had walked past this hotel on previous day trips and I am so pleased that we remembered it. We had a sea view double with balcony from which we watched the world go by and... More

We waited quite some time and the service wasnt good .The waiter needed to add character and pleasent ness it doesnt cost anything- he cleary... More

We stayed here for a night last weekend hoping for a quiet, romantic night away by the sea. We arrived to discover a wedding on, which we weren't told about when booking the room, or the evening meal. Our room was nice but the communal areas had loads of random items left everywhere, (fold up beds, piles of bedding, mops... More

We returned following a full refurbishment of the Hotel. We paid extra for a sea view and balcony. Worth it. The room was very tastfully furnished and a good size. Our particular room only had a shower but this was a very good size and easy to operate. It was beeter than jiust a small bath which in the space... More

Had a family meal here in late June sat outside admiring the sea view. Table top service dreadful but if you order at the bar the menu is varied and food quick to table. Perhaps a little overpriced but the food was good quality and the view worth it. Table waiting staff could do with better training in good customer... More

Fabulous. I have waited 9 years for a decent hotel to open in Whitstable. This is it. Accommodation fantastic, sea view, lovely common areas restaurant, bar etc. Lovely staff and parking at the rear. Breakfast very good and just had a lovely, warm, clean and welcoming atmosphere.

We booked in here for a night on our way back from Dover and were very impressed. A lovely hotel, very helpful friendly staff; we had arrived too early to check in, but they let us leave the car in the car park while we walked along the front into Whitstable to build up an appetite for lunch! We returned... More

The Marine at Tankerton, Whitstable has been well refurbished and the rooms are modern, chic and comfortable...go for a sea view, the hotel sits right by the pebble beach. When checking in it's great to be offered a little flask of fresh milk for your room; NOT good to be ordered to pay for the room in advance, before even... More

Within easy walking distance of Whitstable town centre, castle and harbour or if you want a longer stroll its about 4 miles along the coastline to Herne Bay. The hotel itself was excellent, our room was very clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. There are great sea views across Tankerton Slopes from the restaurant. We didn't take dinner there but breakfast... More

Its been a few years since our last visit to The Marine and the refurbishment is wonderful. Our rooms were well appointed and the beds very comfortable. The issue with The Marine is the staff, one of the woman on reception was straight out of Fawlty Towers central casting! There were some good ones, the bar ladies were very nice.... More
