Stayed in August however in a rrom that had not been refurbished. Had now wardrobe and just a very small make do hanging area enough for about 4 items. The areas that had been refurbished were done so to a high standard but would recommend anyone staying to request a refurbished room.

We stayed for one night in one of the renovated fishermans's cottages. The cottage was nicely done, clean and clever use of space. Best thing was the staff who were so nice. I left a pair of earrings behind when I left and they not only phoned me to say they had found them but are posting them back to... More

Fantastic place to stay. The food is cooked to a fantastic standard and is of good value. Its staff are lovely and its a great place to sit for great views. I go there on a regular basis to have a coffee and the occasional lunch and evening meal and always have a lovely time.

This is a lovely hotel. We had one of the 'unrenovated' rooms but it was really pleasant. Yes, the carpet was a bit tired but the room was spotlessly clean, the shower was great and the bed very comfortable. The only (minor) criticism was that there was not really anywhere to hang up any clothes! We took a sneaky peak... More

We throughly enjoyed our stay here from the moment we arrived. We had a very friendly greeting and were lucky enough to have two rooms side by side with our best friends and enjoyed chilled (by staff) BYO champagne on the balconies next door to each other. The rooms were small but beautifully laid out and have obviously been recently... More

I selected this hotel as it was affiliated with the venue of the wedding reception I was attending that weekend (The Lobster Shack) so location wise, it was perfect. If it hadn't been for the incredible unhelpfulness & stubbornness of the receptionist, I would have given this place an average review, but for pure lack of any type of customer... More

hi I do not understand that when you were informed that the check-in was 3pm by e-mail you decided you "leave it to the day" anyway. We always make it clear that the check in is 3pm and this is for a reason and that is to make sure the room is cleaned properly. We cannot allow people in the... More

This is not the greatest hotel in the world, but it is clean, comfortable, and the staff are almost embarrassingly eager to please. Loved the restaurant menu - not cheap but marvellous sea food as one might expect in Whitstable. Very impressed that the dog was offered a bowl of water almost before we sat down. This is the "nice"... More

I really don't know where to start. On arrival with a group of others for a wedding we found out that 3 of our rooms had been given to other guests in the hotel. After 2 hours a resolution was finally reached which should have been completed within the first 15 minutes of our arrival. After being left on the... More

This place is unique....so friendly and unpretentious, real people giving warm and faultless service. Quirky and artistically decorated, creating a great atmosphere. Nothing is too much trouble and everybody smiles, so uplifting. Fantastic position, just a little walk away from the main busy hub of Whitstable and has its own quieter bit of seafront where you can eat the fantastic... More

Fantastic stay at Hotel Continental. Room was Fantastic clean and tidy and excellent view of the sea. Lovely people very friendly and helpful and would surely stay again. The location was fantastic and close to shops and quaint huts selling shellfish.
