My daughter and I stayed at the Continental for 3 nights. The room was not refurbished, but had a sea view. We only paid £65 per night. Even so I would expect a little more from a hotel than we were afforded. On arrival at the room the first thing we saw on the landing was a door with two... More

We make it clear on booking that the standard rooms are awaiting refurbishment but they are clean , serviceable and includes a full english breakfast for £65 - yours also had a seaview! as regards the attitude of the man on reception this is totally unacceptable and I have talked to him about his this-as a customer you should of... We saw the Hotel Continental on Trip Advisor and read about the ‘room 3’ recommendation. Wanting a room for 2 nights from the next day we called and were excited to hear that room 3 was available. We were also delighted when we arrived and saw the hotel, positioned as it is in a quiet corner right on the seafront.... More

We were part of a group of 6 adults - 2 standard rooms and 1 deluxe staying for just one night. All rooms were lovely and clean, but the deluxe had recently been decorated and had a beautiful view of the sea. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly. The breakfast was great. The Hotel is currently being decorated, (which did... More

I only booked the day before and the friendly staff explained the only room available hadn't been refurbished.I'd seen reviews to say the rooms were small but for an overnight stay it didn't matter. Would highly recommend as the room with crisp white linen and bathroom were scrupulously clean and comfortable. The native oysters divine with the perfectly chilled Pinot... More

I booked late and got a deluxe room overlooking the beach for under £60. Restaurant food was good, service was fine and breakfast was full and varied. The rooms are quite small but contain all you need and facilities all worked well with a nice strong shower and good quality complimentary bathing sundries. Overall, a most relaxing and splendid experience.

A very restful and calming four day stay in lovely room complete with balcony overlooking the sea. Cheerful, helpful staff. Great breakfast and also a couple of very pleasant evening meals. There was only one problem for us - which was not the hotels fault - we suffered incoming smoke whenever the residents next door were smoking on their balcony,... More

Only stayed only for one night. After a long journey was disappointed to have no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, so would recommend packing a travel kettle for long stays. Also had we stayed for more than one night there was no where to hang your clothes. Room was very small and in need of decorating, carpet... More

Thanks for coming and taking advantage of one of the cheaper non-refurbed rooms. If you ask at reception we can do a tea/coffee tray as some of the older rooms do not always have them in. thanks james More

We stayed for just one night, 31st August - superb location just across from the beach - no through traffic as the sea-front road ended just by the hotel. Our room overlooked the beach and the views were out of this world! French doors led out to a large balcony with table and chairs - and even deck chairs. Binoculars... More

I was told when I phoned that the only family room available was unrefurbished hence the reduced price.I was very pleasantly surprised.Very clean with comforable double bed and interconnecting door to single room. Huge clean warm bathroom. The breakfast was very good indeed. We also had a very nice evening meal, lovely atmosphere overlooking the coast. Reasonably priced too.Only a short walk... More
