The hotel has some charm - my room had beams and a very antique feel. I staid a week and was glad when it was at an end. I particularly asked for a hotel with a restaurant which it had but I only managed to eat there once .... one evening they were out of food, the next only sandwiches... more

All the group which checked in individually were given excellent friendly service, the bedrooms had character and were clean and suited all our requirements. We particularly enjoyed the public areas which were charming, it was an ideal venue for our group. Dinner was really good and to relax in the bar by the fire afterwards was great, Definately return. more

Stayed here for one night on business with a colleague. He had a room in the annexe and mine was in the old building. Generally ok. Hotel was OK for a one night stay. Staff were welcoming and friendly. We had a room overlooking the high street and on a Saturday night was very noisy, but other than that was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a choice of continental or full english cooked to order with quality ingredients. more

The exterior pictures look great but we were offered a room in an outside annex which was not fit to stay in. We were moved to a room in the main hotel which was marginally better. Would not stay there ever again. more
