Nice comfortable hotel in a good location to explore Sandwich. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only criticism was certain items on menu had run out at start of service on our first night and we weren't told until we went to order. Food however is of good quality. Would return to hotel for a short break.

We stayed at The Bell hotel for 2 nights, very disappointed with what we got. Food ok waiter service a bit slow but not fantastic, staff friendly, room clean but in need of refurb as could reception area. Don't even think about it if you have any sort of mobility problems as no lift and lots and lots of stairs.... More

We stayed there for one night and glad that we only booked one nigh The room was ok with tea and coffee and fresh milk which was a nice touch. The toilet wasn't working properly, and the shower head and window catch were broken. We parked in the Council car park, at 90p per hour and after mentioning this to... More

We stayed at this hotel in July for one night and that was one night too many. The service in the restaurant was non existent and the food was poor value for money. After booking a room and making a dinner reservation in their fine dining restaurant we assumed we would receive fine dining service but how wrong we were.... More

A lovely hotel, well furnished and very welcoming. We stayed for one night for our anniversary, so wanted somewhere comfortable but where we could dress up a bit and enjoy dinner, drinks and relaxing place to sit and chat all in one place. The value for money was excellent with a great Sunday night deal for three course dinner, bed... More

An historic hotel in a beautiful, quaint town; the rooms were large and the beds were lovely. The restaurant and bar are in the modern part of the hotel, and the food, service and atmosphere were all great. As you may expect with a medieval town, parking at the hotel is very limited, but the main town car park is... More

Stayed recently on a golfing trip. Ideal location , though parking can be difficult , seems to be the norm for Sandwich . Excellent restaurant , good choice of reasonable wines . Superb lamb dish , starters ok but not if you are starving . Very nice modern bar , good selection of beers and wine by the glass ,... More

We only stayed for one night, but the room although small was clean and well stocked with tea, coffee and toiletries. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Only downside - the colour of the shirts the staff wear is horrible!

We stayed at the Bell Hotel for our wedding anniversary and found the location online as we were interested in exploring the east coast. The hotel is in an excellent location on the quay in Sandwich. We booked the Riverside View suite, I believe the 2nd most expensive room in the large, redecorated hotel. The room was large, spacious and... More

Was very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. It has been refurbished up to modern standards but has not lost any charm & original feel. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. We ate in the restaurant for dinner & the food was sublime. Breakfast in the morning was a feast to satisfy the hungriest of people-my partner was in... More
