We looked for a hotel in a quiet area, overlooking the sea with a relaxed atmosphere - we got ... ...This and more. What a wonderful place! The hotel itself is lovely - classic rooms of a good size with an inspiring view, honesty bar a roaring fire in the lounge and dinner offered which sounded incredible and which we... More

Lovely hotel, however we were all very disappointed by the female host who made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Rude host and regimental atmosphere which heavily brought down our anticipations for the evening/our stay. Disappointing to say the least.

We had stayed here about 10 years before and had memories of lovely food, sea views and a peaceful retreat, with bracing walks. It met and even superseded our expectations this time. The food was wonderful, locally sourced, beautifully cooked and presented and quantities were perfect.

The hotel is in a class of its own - a class that is, sadly, all too rare these days. Independent, slightly idiosyncratic - and with very high standards. The friendly owners clearly wanted to ensure our stay was as comfortable as it could be. The hotel has been converted from a large period house and little of its original... More

We booked this hotel on the strength of Trip Advisor comments and our initial impression was good. Nice quiet location with sea views. After that it went downhill a bit, indeed we wondered if this was the same hotel we'd read about in the reviews. The food was pretty ordinary and frankly somewhat over-priced. Bar and wine list good though... More

I was very disappointed that your stay did not live up to your expectations. I checked you in on arrival, over saw dinner & breakfast service & then checked you out on departure; on this basis I find it particularly ungracious that you did not mention that I did not charge you for your overnight stay or breakfast. Constructive criticism... More

We had a lovely family weekend at this wonderful hotel. The weather was truly dreadful.. The hotel was so warm & inviting and Lisa & Clinton were the perfect hosts. We had a beautiful room overlooking the sea. Dinner was absolutely amazing, many thanks for accommodating my very fussy husband :). Breakfast was by far the nicest I've had for... More

I come from this village and have never stayed at a hotel there until now. This hotel is in an old house on the beachfront and is a place to really experience a slightly windswept coastline. If you have a reason to visit New Romney or the marsh then you could not do better than staying here. The food is... More

We greatly enjoyed our short stay in this "home away from home" i.e. every comfort you could want. It is a beautiful period building with lots of places to it and relax. Our 2nd floor twin faced out to sea and had views of the golf course from the bathroom. The fixed course evening menu was beautifully cooked and presented.... More

We stayed over a lovely sunny weekend, took our bicycles with us so we could cycle along the sea to Dungeness and the next day cycle along the sea walls to Hythe. The hotel is very comfortable and our bedroom had a newly refurbished en suite bathroom, comfortable four poster bed, with glorious uninterrupted sea views. We had a delicious... More

We arrived to be greeted by Lisa who was very friendly and professional. We had a delightful room overlooking the golf course that was spotlessly clean. There was tea, coffee and water available in the room. We had dinner on the Saturday which was top class; absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Breakfasts were also plentiful, tasty and well presented with... More
