First class hotel, clean, light bedrooms with great views out over the bay. Owners & staff were friendly, without being over familiar. The standard of the set dinner was excellent. The only minor criticism was the lack of fresh orange juice at breakfast. Visitors should also take note that the access road is seriously potholed! We will return. more

This hotel isn't pretencious, over priced or claustrophobic neither are the owners. With a wealth of expertise and professionalism they greet you and make you feel very welcome in their house. Stayed here with a group of friends for my 40th. Had a fabulous time - beautiful house, great food and fantastic people. Would recommend to anybody. Staff only there when you need them. more

Just what I look for in a hotel. Fantastically peaceful, absolutely no traffic noise. Lovely room with a great view over the English Channel. Excellent breakfast. Can't comment on dinner, I normally only ever use hotels as a B&B. Great curry house in New Romney. Will definately visit again. more

This is a beautiful hotel in an amazing setting but there are several problems. My key criticism is that you do feel like you are a guest in somebody's home rather than a paying customer. The owners police the place pretty intensely and so it feels claustrophobic. The rooms are comfortable, furnished well but a bit chintzy for my tastes.... more

I arrived on a brisk February afternoon, to a warm friendly welcome. My sea facing room was everything I had hoped for. The decor throughout the house was totally in keeping with this wonderful building. Friendly atmosphere at pre supper drinks allows you to meet the other residents. My fellow residents were delightful. Dinner was fabulous, no faults at all.... more
