We stayed here in August as we went on holiday with our 2 year old child and didn't want to go too far away from Dover. Shopping centre is about 5 minutes away and town centre about 6 the other way. The beach is about 10 minutes by foot which is really great. Bedroom was ok except for two loud... More

We stayed here as our friends were getting married near by at Hayne Barn and we were very pleased and impressed with the quality and value for money. One night bnb basis for two was more than reasonably priced. The room was clean spacious and everything you need from a bnb stay. The breakfast included was of VERY good quality... More

I spent 2 nights at the beginning of May with my family in this stunning hotel. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, in the typical English style, accurately decorated and scented. Each room has a different theme and scent. We appreciated so much spending those nights there. Breakfast was plentiful both the English and the continental one. Ospitality and the way... More

We stayed here for one night and had two rooms one double and one family. The rooms were not hugely luxurious but clean and comfortable with crisp white bedding and white fluffy towels. the staff were all really friendly and helpful. We had a room as the front which was a bit noisy because of the road but that was... More

Arrived about 8pm after the predictable Friday night / Half term traffic problems around the M25. Car parking a bit tight but received a lovely welcome from the landlady who gave us the key to our room. Didn't bother to unload just headed straight for the bar/restaurant and the three of us (me, wife and 11year old daughter) had really... More

Stayed here before so happy to do so again. Key on window sill as nobody available to check us in but that was not a problem. Garage available for secure motorbike parking. Double room good size and does need a bit of an update but is still ok. TV is small and was never used. Staff very friendly. Meals were... More

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights as we were visiting family in the area. There are some real positives for this place; very central, huge room, fabulous bed, good nights sleep, good breakfast and very good staff at breakfast. Now the negatives, if you arrive when the pub is closed your keys are left on a window sill... More

Having had a long day in France, when arriving at Dover, we decided to stay locally, rather than press on to the south Midlands. My wife found the Red Lion, called them and they confirmed that they had a room available. This B&W period pub/hotel was easy to find and the friendly bar staff checked us in and carried our... More
