We stayed here once before, (NOV 08) and had one of the best views we have ever had in a £70 a night hotel. Yes, the rooms are dated, tired, in dire need of upgrading. Yes, the hotel is situated in a grand spot. Yes, the staff are friendly and keen to please. BUT, as it was one of the... more

We have just returned from a one night stay at this hotel. The exterior is really odd, and once inside it is a real rabbit warren, but as previous reviewers have said it is fine inside. Our room (107) was fairly clean, but the decor was very tired and it needed some money spent on it as there was peeling... more

As other reviewers have stated, don't be put off by the exterior of the hotel. We stayed here for one night only and had a very good night. The reception staff were friendly and efficient and we were booked in very quickly. The staff were excellent, made up for the imperfections. Yes, the hotel could do with a face lift,... more

Whilst we, like some other reviewers, were a little concerned by the exterior of the hotel, please don't be put off by it - the interior is clean; the staff are welcoming, pleasant and efficient; the bar is cosy, and the breakfast is superb. Our room had a seaview that was to die for - absolutely breathtaking, and was perfectly... more

The outside of the building looked far from fetching, parts of the outside were literally crumbling, but we had a very satisactory stay. We were happy with the bed, upholstery and general state and design of the room, but the heat was on high and could not be turned down (even after someone 'had seen to it') and the drainage... more

Just back from a weekend at the Stade Court in Hythe, and have to say what a charming place it is. Very cold and windy outside but beautiful blue skies made this seaside hotel the perfect location for a couple of chill out days. Booked through laterooms.com and got a cheaper deal than through direct Best Western website - 90... more

A rather strange, higglety pigglety hotel directly overlooking the sea. I can't really fault the room for a 3 star hotel - it was clean and had a nice balcony overlooking the sea. The bed was uncomfortable but not desperately so. One lampshade had been mended at some point with masking tape but this was now cracked and peeling. Yes,... more

We booked two rooms in the hotel for a two night stay- one double room and one single room. On arrival we were initially surprised by the presentation of the hotel. The hotel website had graded the hotel as a three star hotel but the appearance did not reflect this. We checked into our rooms and I was horrified by... more

Friendly service on check in. Hotel full that night but you wouldn't know it. As per other reviewers the hotel is looking a bit worn and scuffed round the edges. Our room was clean and furniture was all in good condition. The TV was very small. We had a room on the third floor. The bathroom was up some narrow... more

My Wife and I are pretty fussy about the cleanliness and upkeep of the hotels we patronize. We can live with little things in need of repair as long as our room is clean and functional. Therefore, we were a little reluctant about staying at the Stade Court based on some of the reviews posted in Trip Advisor. But, since... more
