2 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We spent two nights at this hotel this week. Because it was a sudden arrangement we didnt have time to do our usual research; this was recommended to us as an hotel in Hythe. Its an old building on the sea front and needs a lot of money and imagination to bring it up to modern standards. What improvements have... More

Shower was blocked and useless, and no hot water first morning.Hotel reception staff miserable.Restaurant staff were very happy and helpful. Beer that I bought was off so I returned It but they only had extra strong lager,I think I was probably charged for the bad pint I returned. Barman miserable. If it was not for the position of the hotel I would... More

We stayed here as a couple for 2 nights over Easter 2015. Two nights B&B including one night of dinner for £109 was great value. The hotel is located on the seafront overlooking the prominade, with anywhere in the town an easy 10 minute walk maximum. Some areas could use a clean - the front garden of hotel had rubbish... A non fussy hotel, that brings comfy rooms. Great breakfast with hot plates so your breakfast is hot and not luke warm due to being offered cold plates. Have used this hotel on a deal break twice, have booked again for October. The staff are very helpful, you won't be disappointed. Hythe is a short walk to the town, canal... More

Very good hotel, we booked a double room and been upgraded to a sea view one. We also had dinner as part of our deal and the food was delicious. The staff were very friendly. We will definitely go back!

We paid £109 for a double room for 2 nights (including Good Friday) Bed and Breakfast, plus dinner on one night. The hotel is located right on the sea front (though we didn't have a sea view) and close to the town. There is unrestricted parking along the front which meant we did not bother with the car park (which... More

This review relates to our stay in room 403, which is a duplex family room. While the room is very spacious, it was also very hot despite the radiator being turned off. I assume this was due to it being at the top of the hotel. I also need to note that upstairs one of the beds blocked the path... More

The staff were very friendly, we had an excellent room with a great seaview. We had a set dinner as part of our deal, normally with set dinners you settle for what is on the menu, this was totally different, the starters and main course you have at least three excellent options. Will be definitely be going back

Its important to note that I tend to review hotels based on what I would expect for the money paid. In this case we had a double room with breakfast for about £38 so this was exceptional value for money. The hotel is a little tired but frankly some of the other reviews I read before booking are a bit... More
