Its important to note that I tend to review hotels based on what I would expect for the money paid. In this case we had a double room with breakfast for about £38 so this was exceptional value for money. The hotel is a little tired but frankly some of the other reviews I read before booking are a bit... More

We paid around £40 for double room including breakfast. At this price I cannot fault it. The reception staff were friendly and very accommodating re checking in early. The room clean, comfy bed (firm, not tired or saggy). Yes a quirky bathroom up narrow stairs.. but does that matter? It's still ensuite. There was also a little sun room area... More

A friend and I booked 2 seaview rooms on a bed, breakfast & dinner basis x 2 nights. The location of this hotel is superb. Hythe is a wonderful place to visit, especially the Norman church situated above the high street. Our rooms were comfortable, clean and warm. The seaviews are spectacular. Unfortunately the windows in room 309 are damaged... More

We booked this hotel via e.bookers for £28.36 for room only. When we checked on line, we could have booked direct with the hotel for the same price and if you scroll down on their website page, there was a B&B option for £35.50, which was good VFM. The outside of the property is okay, there was a little bit... More

We foolishly paid £77 for a twin room. Very tired hotel. Unusual room with a steep stairway to the bathroom. Staff not helpful. Breakfast just acceptable but we received one cup of tea served from a thermos. Hotel car park area filthy.

I arrived late, there was no response from hotel phone? The staff were friendly enough, good price, clean sheets, only downside, was the bed was as hard as a rock., and I mean hard, it was like sleeping on wood. that aside, there was a running water noise which lasted most of the night, but the view from the front... Clean tidy room, nice large bath, suprisingly good food and service, good value for money. Some common areas in dire need of update, worn carpets, squeaky floorboards, paint damage. Very good position on beach, easy to park in March, might be more difficult in summer..
