Although a bed and breakfast stay this is much more. Being able to actually stay in character rooms in this outstanding setting is a great experience . The accommodation is excellent and the staff outstanding in their efforts to make sure guests are well looked after. The inclusion of castle entrance in the price is added value to the package.

First of all let me say give yourself a full day to make sure you enjoy all that Hever Castle has to offer. My friend and I went and we gave ourselves 3 hours, thinking that would be plenty of time, as its not like we had children with us or anything however I could have done with a bit... More

We highly recommend Hever Castle for its attention to detail, very helpful and friendly staff and not least the exquisite setting. Rooms are beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. Breakfast was served in a wood panelled room with locally sourced food and juices. The cost included access to the main castle too.

Hever was rebuilt from a ruin a hundred years ago, when the Tudor style buildings you stay in were added. The rooms are very stylish and tasteful, unusually for England where so many lovely old places are spoilt by chintzy refurbishments. Not so here thankfully.Castle is a mix of Edwardian and mediaeval but well worth seeing.Gardens are lovely, and you can boat on the huge... honestly this is a 5 start place, but for one small detail which is lack of air conditioning. if you happen to be there during a hot day (no need for a really hot day, just a mildly hot day) you find yourself in a room that is very hot due to the nature of the building, but with no... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I'm pleased to hear that your overall experience was a positive and much enjoyed one despite the lack of air conditioning. To clarify the situation with regards to air conditioning, 9 of our 28 bedrooms do offer it, they are the rooms in the Anne Boleyn Wing. Although the bedrooms... More

Was booked an overnight stay as a surprise. We arrived and were taken to our room and I was amazed, it was absolutely beautiful. Stayed in the Edward VII suite and couldn't have asked for a more amazing place to stay. The bed was HUGE, a lovely lounge section, hallway and an outstanding bathroom with roll top bath and separate... More

Recently stayed here for a small conference. We stayed in the Clover Room which was fabulous, beautifully spacious, excellently appointed and with a lovely view of the croquet lawn and beyond. Wonderfully quiet and peaceful. The staff were delightful, charming and efficient and everything ran like clockwork. Breakfasts were very good with all the usual hot choice food cooked to... More

Staying at the Castle was magical. The room we stayed in was Pippin and it was beautifully decorated and cosy. Great view of the gardens. Bed was comfortable and pillows soft (woke in night to what seemed like some maintenance/sawing work going on in the room next door - or could it have been a ghost?). Breakfast the next day... More

Thank you for your lovely review, I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. A spring time visit is certainly a great time to come, when the gardens are starting to burst with an abundance of colour. Please come and see us again soon. Warm regards, Kate More
