The house is approx. half a mile from the main road, very secluded. We stayed in the Hoppers Room, a small detached building next to the main house. An attractive room with low beams (ouch! if you're tall). Pleasant small orchard to walk around. The small flock of free range hens in the next field necessitate closing the windows at... More

This is a delightful B&B just outside Headcorn. I stayed in the Oak Room, which was actually a suite of heavily beamed, characterful rooms at the top of this charming house. I had a large sitting room with its own TV, a gorgeous bedroom (with a second TV) and an attractive bathroom. Breakfasts were taken with guests from the other... More

The perfect place to unwind, after a couple of days travelling and working. We arrived late, but were warmly welcomed by our hosts David & Victoria. The room was spacious, full of character, and very comfortable. Breakfast is served in a wonderful conservatory attached to the main house, and set us up perfectly for the long drive back to Lancashire.

Travelling through the South of England we were lucky to being recommended The Wilderness by the helpful tourist information at Royal Tunbridge Wells. We stayed in the spacious Orchard Room with lovely views over the garden, comfy armchairs and a stylish new bath. Excellent! Breakfast was nice as were the hosts and we enjoyed our stay very much. Perfect location... More

My boyfriend and I decided to book a night away from London for my birthday weekend and the Wilderness B&B looked like the perfect setting. We stayed in the Oak Room and had the most delightful weekend. The room was cute and quirky and the setting offered amazing views of the surrounding countryside. The Oak Room had more than enough... Delightful, spacious accommodation in the orchard room with very comfortable kingsized bed and nothing but birdsong to wake you in the morning. Although in a rural setting, Wilderness is convenient as a base to visit many noted local visitor attractions and surrounded by beautiful Kent countryside and pretty villages. Victoria gave us a warm welcome and provided a very satisfying... More

We stayed in The Orchard room for a 5 night break to visit gardens and Nation Trust Properties as it is a perfect location to do this from. We loved the Orchard room which is very light and spacious. We particularly liked the lovely large armchairs in the room to relax in at the end of a busy day and... More

We were in Kent for a party and a few days relaxation and this was an ideal base. We stayed in the Orchard room which gives a panoramic view of the grounds. It was all that we had hoped for, comfortable, clean and quiet. We enjoyed our cooked breakfasts and the information in the guide notes provided in the room... More

I have just returned from a lovely visit to Kent. This is the second time we have stopped here and it was just as good as the first. We requested the Hoppers Room again as it has a distinctive charm. We were made to feel very welcome again by Tordy (the owner) and enjoyed 2 fabulous breakfasts. We must also... More

This was a treat booked for my girlfriend to celebrate her birthday. Going from the reviews on here and it's closeness to where we were spending the rest of her birthday it was perfect. I'd booked the Orchard Room as it was the larger of the rooms available and had modern facilities. It took quite a while to locate it... More
