Exactly what you would expect from a hotel called the Railway Hotel: Old but well cared for; a pub with rooms; a bit of faded grandeur; friendly and welcoming. Interesting railway memorabilia dotted around the place (not many places have signs saved from the Connex era), and many railway photos from around the country. Decent beer (a dodgy pint was... We stayed in the Railway Hotel for three weeks, having moved from our house after a fire, as a result we had very little with us and we're not anticipating a stay. A centrally located hotel that has retained its character without compromising comfort. The rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable and the bathrooms are very well equpped, everything is... More

Perfect for short stay. Lovely comfortable room. Very conveniently located opposite the train station. Breakfast at the restaurant was of a good quality. The staff were very friendly and happy to help. I enjoyed my stay over. I would definitely recommend for a short stay in faversham.

Spent one night in The Railway in October. Very nice room with en suite and comfortable bed. The Hotel is part of an excellent Sheperd Neame Pub and sells some super ales. Staff were all very helpful during my stay and the Hotel is ideally placed for the local area and the station and has parking.

Great pub, lovely room and restaurant amazing too! Fully recommended! We had a lovely room - you would expect from the name that there may be some noise but for a town centre hotel there was nothing that disturbed us. Try the pork belly - delicious!

I am sorry you had such a poor beer experience at this pub. At least I think that was what you implied but its quite hard to tell from your words. The person that served you is one of the most well known, respected and competent people in the Faversham licenced trade. She has sold tens of thousands of pints... More

I recently spent 2 nights here attending a wedding in Faversham. The hotel is ideally situated right across from the railway station and within 2 minutes you are in the centre of the town. Greeted in Reception by a very friendly lady who booked me into the room and explained everything to me. The room was better than expected for... More

I stayed here with my partner recently & couldn't fault the friendly welcome, comfortable room & fantastic quaint little restaurant. I'd never stayed here before & to be honest, after reading some of the derogatory reviews, I almost didn't! I'm so glad I did. It was nothing like I expected, it was so much better. It would take me forever... More
