The Ship Inn is a quirky pub, but that adds to its ambiance. Beautiful sandy beach just 5 mins walk away. Small bar relatively empty. Large restaurant where the food was excellent and cheap - On a Saturday 2 steaks and a bottle of wine (good) for £25. The room was spacious and clean, bathroom and toilet a bit small... More

Old inn ,smugglers theme with creaking floors, massive car park and attentive staff. Clean room en suite bath plenty of piping hot water, nice full english breakfast well worth the £5 extra served in a pleasant dining room. Good Value for money overall, only stayed the one night, live music on Fridays by all accounts. Near to excellent sandy beach opposite village... More

There isn't too much say, simply a friend and I were looking for a good pub for lunch with parking, we drove into the car park and went into the pub which was pretty empty. An empty pub of course is not a good sign but we were running out of time. The service was excellent with full marks for... More

what a lovely place to stay made to feel very welcome on arrival, family room was clean and fresh, comfy beds and well decorated great food to be had and dogs joined us for breakfast where they were given sausages, much to their delight right next to the beach, perfect for long weekend walks

Didn't stay here only dropped in for lunch Had a great lunch here today. It was not quick in coming but it was worth the wait. I had fish pie and my husband had the combo burger. Both were very good. Sussex bitter was very nice.

A bit tired from the outside and inside. Smells of cooking oil and has a distinct lack of ventilation. Grease everywhere on most surfaces. I was in the room at the top and I could never stand up due to the low ceiling. Showering was a real sit-down challenge. TV did not work and breakfast starts at 0830 because "That's... More

Booked 2 rooms for one night. Rooms were clean and well equiped for the price (TV, WIFI, Tea/Coffee making, ensuite), the beds were comfortable and extra blankets / duvets were provided. We stayed on what was probably one of the coldest nights of the year and the rooms were cold. This wasn't a big deal as the beds/duvets were warm... More

Band playing until 11:30pm may as well be in my room. Management didn't give a flying pig when I complained. Response was that we're a local pub not premier Inn. Says on our website we do live music.how about starting with your 65 quid a night prices then. Don't charge prices for something you're not!!!!!

We arrived at the Ship Inn in Dymchurch to spend a relaxing couple of days. We chose the Ship Inn because we wanted to stay somewhere a bit different. The stairs were a little steep and the floor in our room was slightly uneven, but the Inn is 600 years old, so we were expecting something like this. Our room... More
