Stayed here for two nights, and feel let down with our stay. Decor and furnishings of the room were very old fashioned and could have easily been refreshed. Also had an awful smell in our room, which we weren't sure what it was, but was very unpleasant. The kettle in the room was full of limescale so couldn't even have... More

As we were travelling in the area we booked on the Saturday morning and were given the family room. The beds were clean but the room was extremely shabby and not very clean, with dirt and cobwebs in the corners. The floor didn't feel safe and creaked and moved at every step. The ensuite was very small and the shower didn't work properly.The... We overnighted after a day trip to France but nearly didn't book it fearing the quality because the price was so low. However, the room was a normal inn type room with a comfortable bed and en-suite shower & toilet. Breakfast was excellent but it has to be booked in advance at an extra cost of £5 per head -... More

Haven't stayed at this inn due to it being booked up when we decided to have a weekend break. The food was well cooked and service good. The bar was busy with visitors and locals which we feel is always a good sign. Lots of history in the building which we found interesting. Will be returning.

had a great stay in the hotel over the Easter holidays ,rooms have great charm, a warning if you are over 6 " tall you may have to duck the whole time, but the rooms are clean and very comfortable and the nearby fun fare and amusements are just great for kids as well as there is a great local... Lovely Inn with large dining rooms and really nice bar. Room was typical unmodernised inn room: tiny shower, little water pressure in en suite but beds comfy enough. Useful place for overnight prior to channel crossing. Would use again Didn't try breakfast as 8.30 serving was too late for tunnel crossing.

This is an excellent spot to stop en route to France.Good value accommodation and food and helpful young staff which is more than can be said about the landlady Elaine who was disinterested in our welfare throughout concentrating on ensuring we paid our bill the nite before leaving after which not a word even at breakfast or before we left... Stayed a couple of nights in a family room with our grandchildren. Landlady and staff very welcoming. Reasonably quiet, breakfasts good, wifi worked. Close to the beach (about a 5 minute walk) and village centre. Convenient base for south Kent and East Sussex. Ate in the restaurant once - again good quality. A very old building, reasonably well modernised, but... More

I stayed here with my family on the bank holiday weekend as we were attending a wedding at the nearby port lympne safari park and mansion. The guy on reception was really helpful, very chatty and genuinely seemed interested in my family which is really nice to see as it seemed sincere as well. The room itself was fine, for... More

We booked the family room which had a double and twin beds. The beds were very clean and comfortable. The floors very very creaky and a bit crooked which made us laugh every time we walked around the room. Things would roll off the bedside cabinet which also made us laugh. The furniture was also on a bit of a... More
