Breakfast was great, rooms great. Don't expect luxury...it is your typical English pub, in the country, type hotel. It even came with an interesting history. we walked across the road and checked out the beautiful old church and cemetery. We loved it! Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.!!!

We booked the Ship for a random night away in February, knowing it would be quiet and peaceful. Easy to find, on the main road through Dymchurch, with ample parking for the time of year. We were attracted by the reviews of hauntings and the age of the hotel. We were surprised to find when we walked in that at... More

We had a rather luke warm welcome and were shown to our rooms, which were not as we had booked. The single room we had requested was in fact a double, and the double was a family room. To reach the double room we had to go up some very steep stairs in semi darkness. The girl showing us seemed... More

Evening Meal great and accommodation well above the norm with huge bathroom ( although only hand held shower with corner bath) . However skip £5 breakfast and walk along the Shore - take in the view and give yourself 5mins walk/exercise to a host of alternatives as ingredients used were like typical greasy spoon. Ok £5 not much but why... More

Dirty carpet, highly creacking floor, bathroom door did not close, dangerous stairs. We had 2 weeks holiday in Great Britain and had stays in Travelodge and Premier Inn hotels. Due to family problem we had to rearrange our stays and booked this hotel on the Eurobookings/Expedia website. reference were average so we took the risk..... We won't take it any... More

We stayed for two nights in a double room ensuite room which was clean and basic. There was no relenishment of clean towels or clean tea cups on our second day and the window was propped open with a piece of wood. There was hardly amy information in the room about the hotel facilities and area. We were underwhelmed by... More

On a recent trip to the Uk from Australia,we had a 1 night stay in the Deluxe room on the Top floor. Very comfortable and contempary in a Hotel that is very "Olde Worlde" , Dinner was excellent and the Host was helpful at all times. We stayed here for 5 days very recently, returning for the 4th time. We find the hotel charming, the staff very friendly and the food excellent. Also the rooms are very comfortable and clean, clean towels every day. Very family orientated with a lovely beach locally. Not to mention the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway nearby, which is magical. Elaine... More

The rooms on the top floor are low-ceilinged - take care if you're anywhere near 6ft tall - but very clean and comfortable. We took two rooms on the top floor; one of them had a sea view. If it's stormy, as it was the night we stayed, you can also hear the sea. The food was good value and... More
