The Royal hotel in Deal is an exquisite hotel set in an old fashioned seaside town. We stayed in the Wellington suite which went beyond my expectations. The room is beautifully appointed with high ceilings and modern amenities. The room looks out onto the English Channel with views of France on a clear day. The room had a roll top... More

Royal Hotel in Deal is a hotel overlooking the beach and the pier in Deal. The building is centuries old and has all sorts of cosy corners creaking floorboards, and uneven floors The room we were in was clean but in need of refurbishment .The lights are somewhat dim. Friendly personnel . Good breakfast. Parking (pay) at the doorstep (if... More

I recently stayed at the Royal Hotel whilst attending a reunion party in Deal. I cannot say how much I was impressed with the Royal. From the welcoming check in, great breakfast, good bar food, everything to checkout, the service was friendly in a genuine and sincere way. Our room fronted the road but this caused us no problems at... More

I suppose this might be a bit unfair, reviewing a hotel we didn't actually stay at but having made the booking (via booking.com) and arrived at the hotel, we decided that it was best to cut our losses and leave without checking in, even though this would cost us the price of one night (£135). Why walk out when you... More

We had our wedding reception here on 08/08/2014 and from the moment we booked in November 2013 right through to the big day itself and the check out the following morning Natasha, the lovely manager and her staff have been amazing. Nothing has been too much trouble, every phone call and meeting has been a pleasure. We booked all the... More

Thus place us amazing. I booked for my husbands 40th a few months ago and the staff could not gave done enough for us. Nothing was too much trouble. We ate in the restaurant, the steaks were arguably the best I gave had in a long time. We had the nelson suite, the roll top bath in the middle of... More

Lovely room with double aspect windows, large spacious bathroom, tastefully decorated. Great location for shops and restaurants, road can be a little noisy. Right on the seafront with plenty of outside seating. No hotel parking, the joining pay display car park does not allow motorbikes. Lunch and breakfast were lovely, and the staff were really helpful.

We stayed for a couple of nights and enjoyed great rooms (William Pitt and Bronte) The best bit was was enjoying the stunning views and the beautiful stars from the external beach bar. Very pretty, good value and wonderfully helpful staff. A few creaky floorboards in the bedrooms above but that's what you get when you stay in an historic... More

Stayed with my husband and also my daughter and her children. We had 2 rooms and both were spacious with fab views of the seafront. The breakfast is excellent and so is the location, shame about having to pay for the car park but a small price to pay for such a wonderful place. Staff were friendly and helpful and... More

Deal Is a fabulous old fashioned kent seaside town. Bustling, busy and beautiful. Glorious long shingle beach. Proper pier with a lovely cafe. The Royal is set right on the beach. We had a balcony room, the Hamilton which, has the best view of the sunrise. Come rain or shine no finer place to sit and watch the sea. The staff... More
