Overall I wanted to give the rating a 3.5 - but Trip Advisor doesn't quite allow! We had booked this accommodation as we were in Kent for a running event early on a Saturday morning. We arrived at 8pm on Friday and at first struggled to find somewhere to park the car. It notes on street parking, but we had... More

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review, as the only way to get better is hearing what others have to say. I am glad you were happy with your room, as I think that this is the most important thing. The breakfast has never been included in the price of the room, and quite clearly states this when... More

Nice place, friendly staff, good sized clean room. Seems cheap but everything is extra - WiFi is £3 basic breakfast is £4.90 coffee is £0.75 and cereal is £1.95. Not obvious when booking and site does say free WiFi! Only street parking, which on busy nights can be a bit hit and miss.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am very sorry that you were unhappy with any additional costs, but if you didn't want to use the WiFi then you did not have to, and would not have been charged the additional £3! Also the breakfast menu, quite clearly states the prices, and I think a cooked... More

My wife booked this reservation site unseen from the US. Great place. Very cozy. Stayed in the apartment. Had Sunday dinner, very tasty. Great service. Restaurant and pub in same room very quaint. Shelley and Wayne were very chatty and friendly. I would recommend this location. Would have been an excellent location to stay for a couple of days and... More

We had a roast dinner here on the first Sunday of the new year & we were delighted with the delicious meal which was served to us by very friendly staff. We had starters of prawn cocktail & fried Brie, for our main course we chose roast beef & pork, the choice of vegetables, which were served in a vegetable... More

The Five Bells is in a pleasant rural location and was easy to find. Our booking information stated that plenty of on-street parking was available however when we arrived we couldn't find anywhere to park and there is no car park. This wasn't ideal as we had a lot of luggage with us that we didn't want to leave in... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am very sorry that you were not happy with your stay at The Five Bells. Unfortunately sometimes we do have problems with noisy guests! As for the heating, the switch is on the main landing, and people tamper with it, as some people are cold and some are hot. More

We were greeted by a friendly host and shown to a clean, tidy and well equipped apartment/mini house. It was nicely furnished with a comfy double bed which our son slept in as it was in a separate room. However when bed time came, the fold out sofa beds were small so we had one each. In the bedroom there... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am very sorry that you had a disturbed nights sleep. Unfortunately the green LED lights are emergency lighting, and there is nothing I can do about that. (You are the first to mention this) The boiler is relatively new and a good make, and also the apartments have their... More

What a shame. My wife and I stayed overnight, arrived late and found our room very acceptable. The room was clean, tidy and very agreeable, with all mod cons and toiletries. A trifle cold ( the windows were wide open and this was 2200 hours in December and the radiators did not work; well not for us anyway). All, in... More

Well located between Dover and Deal the Five Bells is ideal for those wanting a convenient stop before an onward journey. Room was well presented with the only issue experienced being the noise from a late arrival at 1.30 am which was unfortunate. Breakfast was excellent and overall the value for money of this pub was exceptional for the area.... More
