Booked the last 2 double rooms online on our way back to Germany Easter Friday. A very friendly, very accomodating young man led us to our rooms just above the pub. Surprisingly, each room w/ a double and single beds. We even got a seaview. Wifi is free. We visited the pub a year ago for dinner and we decided... More

Great food and thoroughly enjoyed my stay! Many thanks to the Landlord, Richard, and his staff who always make us feel most welcome. I highly recommend to all the locals and those visiting the area, it is charming and you will be fed very well.

I would like to thank Shirley and all the staff at this wonderful venue which made my 4-day business trip so relaxing and enjoyable. The ward welcome, great pub food and fine ale. Would highly recommend and I will certainly visit again soon. Thank you.

Booked the last double room available that turned out to be a couple of doors away in a house. Not the most comfortable stay, small and overlooking a backyard, but it was clean. Thought it was overpriced for what we had and wouldn't rush to go back. The staff though were friendly and welcoming.

An otherwise pleasant one night stay ruined by extreme noise into the early hours. When staying in a pub you don't expect silence but we weren't prepared for very loud music and rowdiness until almost 1.00 am. The family room was comfortable for 3 adults and the breakfast good although service poor and off hand.

Lovely old inn for our mini break for Colin's birthday. Comfy beds, loads of fluffy towels and clean, clean, well furnished bedroom. Very good menu and wine list and (apparently) the beer was good too! Fantastic breakfast at excellent value - only draw backs where the UKippers at the bar whose views are best not shared (anywhere) and lack of... More

Friendly staff, lovely clean accommodation and breakfast ace. Sea view from the room real value for money. An ideal year round getaway. Real ale, wines and drink selection really good. Evening meal selection covered veggies and they'll accommodate dietary needs if you ask. Great.

There's a special menu for children, so it's easy to find something to your taste. It was all good enough and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Although it's a pub were a lot of the customers are locals, we really felt welcome. The price is right and the pub has a nice atmosphere.

We arrived at 6pm on a Tuesday evening part ly expecting the meal that we ordered to be not of great worth. Well we were mistaken, the meals were brilliant! Freshly made and good portion sizes. We may just try their b&b the next time we stay. A lovely pub, with proper food, what more could you ask for? X

On a sunny winter day, we popped in for lunch on a Friday about 12. Lucky we did as we were followed by a constant flow of (who appeared to be) locals. Our children liked the Christmas decorations and we enjoyed the log fire and traditional pub feel. The meals really good and reasonably priced. The chips were excellent and... More
