My spouse and I stayed two nights during the second week in September. My spouse when to college in Granville and had memories of the Inn being a grand place. Either his memory is bad, or the place has really declined over time. Our room had wallpaper that was peeling, a small bathroom with cracked grout and caulking, and a... more

This is a charming historic hotel with beautiful grounds within walking distance of village shops that takes you back in time. The room was clean with charming period furniture, including a comfortable bed. The food was incredible for a great value. We had dinner on the screened-in patio with a view of the lush green grounds. I had pan-seared scallops,... more

staff was very helpful and friendly. room was quiet and clean. however, there was no thermostat in the room. the decor was also outdated and tacky (floral wallpaper). the rooms are from a bygone era, so they are very small compared to the typical US hotel (but by European standards, they are average or even large). the first hotel i've... more

The hotel was really beautifull. The room we got was small and had too many furnitures, but it was nice anyway. We first stayed for 5 nights and planned to stay for two more later on, but after having trouble sleeping because of all the ghost stories told at the bar, we cancelled the last two nights. All the imaginary... more

My husband and I arrived Sunday at 5 pm, our suite wasn't ready. Housekeeping had yet to completely clean the room. Finally, approximately 5:45, we were able to access our suite. Unfortunately the room was still dirty. The bathroom was mildewed and both the bath and living areas were dusty. It was a beautiful fall day, about 78 degrees outside,... more

If you're looking to stay at something other than a hotel chain, then don't miss the Granville Inn. Although we only spent one night there, we found the inn to be charming and very well maintained. Located within walking distance is a small downtown area with some shopping and restaurants. Considering the numerous older trees that line the street, the... more

My husband and I visited the restaurant only at this Inn. We had a great meal and wonderful service. We both ordered steaks, our meals were perfectly prepared, and the steaks were cooked just as ordered, well-done but still tender and juicy -- quite a trick!! The desserts were house-made and very good. We dined on the screened veranda and... more

We did not stay at this inn, but had dinner there. Our dinner was very good. Probably the best Caesar salad I've ever had. I had a pork medalian dish that was very good. Dining partners had prime rib and a sea food dish with crab legs, mussels, clams, etc. Both were very good. Service was good. We had reservations,... more

Beautiful traditional setting with all the modern conveniences! Rooms are comfortable, food is outstanding. They have a pretty varied event calendar with activities all year long. Golf course is less than 4 blocks away. Lots to do in the quaint New England style town. more
