It is a relatively cozy inn with one of the best restaurants in the area. It is almost at the heart of the town, and it displays a simplistic elegance with historical surroundings. The price can be steep depending on the time of the year.

The staff is great (and so is the location if you are there for a college event), but the floors creak, the walls are paper-thin, carpet is frayed, paint needs re-do and there's no elevator (only two floors tho). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom worked (we aren't fussy, really). The restaurant is all right and there's a bar.... More

We changed our original plans due to inclement weather. The Granville Inn's website enticed us with their winter special - $99 for one night with a $50 gift certificate towards dinner at their Oak Room restaurant. Our stay was great and our dinner was wonderful.

We stayed here when my daughter was at Denison University. It's one of the main places in town, convenient, near campus, but expensive. What a dump it was. I can be forgiving if the people and staff are friendly, but this place was deplorable. First of all, the parking lot had concrete curb dividers between the cars. Not in the... More

The Inn is cozy and has great architectural features. Excellent bedding, & the place is pet friendly. The free breakfast was extremely skimpy, & is the only thing that needs real upgrading, though our room could have used some redecorating. The staff was very friendly, and very welcoming to our dog. It will be very interesting to see what Denison... More

I stayed here for a weekend while attending a wedding. The place is classic, nicely furnished and the staff was extremely helpful and competent. The rooms were fine, the food was very good. Downtown Granville is just a couple blocks down the street, and seems like the prototypical all-American town.

Our room was large, but decorated so that it felt cozy. The bed had one of the most comfortable mattresses I've ever encountered in a hotel - not too hard, not too soft - just right. The room and bathroom were very clean. The windows looked out on a street in Granville, with a pretty house, and a tree whose... More

Enjoyed dinner and a comfortable stay. Went for our anniversary, and had a very relaxing evening. Dinner was yummy, and chef accommodated special requests without a problem. The Mystery Dinner Theatre was crowded but we did not participate. Had a drink in the pub and met the 'First Couple' of Granville. Trust me, you'll know when you meet them, and... More

Our son goes to Denison University in Granville, so we have gone to the Granville Inn for dinner most times when we visit. I agree that it is a bit dated, but it fits in well with the town. We love Granville and don't expect everything to be renovated and modern. We've never been to the hotel, so I can... More

There was nothing not to like...it was above first class in every aspect. The best of the best from the decor...to the food...to the host (Jeff) and his beloved Golden Retriever (Ellie)...to the bed that you sunk down in...it truly was/is "Paradise Found!:
