Coming form Belgium where the old houses are becoming scarce, it was a true pleasure to stay at this unique house. I think it is over 500 years old, with uncountable wooden beams. The room was very clean and cosy. We had a superb full English breakfast in the morning with the fire stove burning nicely. It was served by... More

Our stay in the Bakhouse was very friendly & charming, the breakfast was beautiful and fresh and especially the fresh muffins in our room. My husband did hit his head in the bathroom but that came with all the charm of the stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful to us and we would recomend the B & B... More

We stayed for one night at this very pleasant and well thought out B&B. The rooms are attractive and cosy. The breakfast was very good and the owner and staff were very friendly and accommodating, organising taxis for us. Would highly recommend and would certainly stay again.

Lovely tea rooms with just 2 rooms upstairs. 1 on the 1st floor with a 4ft6 double bed and 1 in the Attic. Our (attic) room had a 5ft bed but being in the attic you had little headroom at the sides and in the bathroom you couldn't stand and shower and hubby said standing at the wc was a... More

A unite often use this village retreat. The building is rustic and cosy. At this time of year it is easily spotted in the village by the outside seating surrounded by flora. The food is very well presented and they do some excellent coffees. But the main reason to call in is the Owner Caroline and her wonderful staff (... More

This small, rustic B&B in a 16th C building is very close to Sissinghurst gardens and many other attractions in Kent. Its friendly, obliging proprietor is a font of information about the area. Two rooms share a bath. My three-night stay was better yet thanks to the Michelin-starred restaurant a few doors away.

Stayed last minute whilst working in area. Very nice owner with cafe below for extra sustenance if needed, plus free wi-Fi. Decent breakfast, bed and bathroom. Good value and only two rooms, so good for a few of you staying. Nice pretty bit of Kent.

My daughter and I spent a night in the Attic Room in this beautiful Tudor house - a lovely room, very charming, clean and tastefully renovated, my daughter particularly liked the fairy lights! Very friendly welcome for us and our dog and a tasty breakfast (cereals and/or full English) made this stay a truly wonderful experience.

The building is beautiful and classic Tudor British (wonky beams e.t.c). When we arrived we were taken to our room, which was a little cold but the heating was quickly put on and it felt more cosy. The room was pretty and far enough away from the rest of the house to feel separate. The breakfast was nice and the... More

My wife and I would highly recommend this B+B. The location is spot on for visiting attractions in Kent. The owners are more than friendly and would bend over backwards for you. Michelin star restaurant the West House (would recommend) a couple doors down. Pub next door including friendly locals and landlord. Restaurant over the road, Chinese takeout, newsagents, post...
