The Golf House is in a peaceful rural location a short walk from some of the most beautiful cliff-top views on the island. Yarmouth ferry terminal is close by car (circa 15 minutes) and there are also public transportation options close by (though we didn't use them, opting to walk locally or take our car further afield). As for the... More

Sue and john what a lovely couple, lovely house,we had a very nice large room spotlessly clean, nice bathroom extras, best hotel breakfast in a long time..thank you sue...sadly being allergic to cats and dogs the pungent smell of the dogs on arrival was a tad off putting and dog hairs on the dinning room rug again off putting, the one dinning table for... I don't know why I've put off this review. I suppose it's because I'm a bit scared I won't do it justice! Sue and John are quite simply, the most lovely and attentive hosts. It's like going to visit your favourite Aunt and Uncle - you know, the ones that like to treat you all the time! The accommodation surpassed... More

A home away from home in a very quiet location. Our hosts were very attentive and helpful with nothing being too much trouble. Our room was superb , very comfortable and beautifully decorated , excellent views and ….with a well stocked library to boot !! Breakfast in a conservatory style room was exceptionally relaxing and a wonderful way to start... More

I can thoroughly recommend The Golf House. We had such a great time. The service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful premises in a beautiful location. Beautifully refurbished with an amazing decor. Sue and John were so warm and welcoming and did everything to make our stay wonderful (including a jar of dog biscuits for our 4 legged... More

We stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 little dogs. Somewhat exceptionally, the owners had agreed to let us have the suite with the dogs. We had a big bedroom, lounge (needs another table lamp please), luxury roll top bathroom, hallway, spare bedroom where we put our cases, and our own front door. We had a great time relaxing... More

Made very welcome by both John and Sue. The top floor attic room we had was huge, spotless and had everything you needed. Lots of little extras, i.e. proper milk in a small fridge for making tea and coffee .Breakfast fantastic, all freshly cooked to order and a wide choice. Loved how well behaved there 2 dogs were. Fantastic place,... More

My wife and I, 2 daughters and son-in-law stayed here for 2 nights to attend a wedding. We were greeted by Sue & John and the 2 dogs and welcomed into their home. The room we had was totally self contained, spotless with a very comfortable bed, tea and coffee and biscuits! The other 2 rooms for my family were... More

My husband Jeff and I just returned from 2 night stay at the Golf House. Would highly recommend to stay here where owners Sue and John are just a delight. Felt like meeting up with old friends instead of having just met them. Our room was amazing, we had top floor room which was huge and a wonderful view from... More
