When looking for a B&B, I was expecting a room and not much more to be honest - this was far from just that and provided more of a self contained apartment with ample living space & wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. I can't add anything to the superlatives that have been lavished on the owners, Sue and John,... More

Wonderful and friendly atmosphere, great breakfast sets you up for the day, our second visit in a month. Peaceful surroundings and totally relaxing and quiet in the evenings. Isle of Wight is a step back from the stress of everyday life. The pace of life is slower and more relaxed. More

I cannot thank John and Sue enough for making us feel so very welcome in their beautiful home. My partner booked a short break away for us on the Isle of Wight as a surprise birthday present for me. It was the very best thing he could have done. Though the weather left a lot to be desired (mostly grey... More

We have just come back from having such a wonderful, restful time with Sue, John and their beautifully behaved labradors Harry and Jimmy. We enjoyed exploring the more rural side of the Isle of Wight on foot and by car. The walking around The Golf House was spectacular. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and cosy. We are trying to work... More

My wife and I stayed at the Golf House while we were on the Isle of wight running a race this May. Everything was exemplery, from the fantastic, home-cooked breakfast from local suppliers in the morning, to our great suite over the game room, and the lovely reception from our hosts, John and Sue. They were extremely accomodating, from start... More

What can I say about Sue and John. I had left my last B&B in a huff because it was appalling so was driving around looking for somewhere to stay. I saw the notice 'no vacancie's but whilst I had heeded these notices in the past, I chose to ignore this one and pulled up. Sue also pulled up at... More

We stayed over the Easter weekend in the Tennyson Suite. John and Sue and their 2 labradors are friendly and helpful hosts. The breakfast could be the best I've ever had ( hats off to anyone who can finish it ). My parents-in-law liked the homemade marmalade so much they bought some to take home. The rooms are clean and... More
