My partner and I have had two very memorable stays at Priory Bay and can only highly recommend on many accounts - on arrival the hotel is beautiful, quiet peaceful surroundings, on entering staff extremely warm and welcoming, both rooms stayed in have not disappointed! Large, airy, light, lovely comfy bed and decor very tastefully done. Our first visit was... More

This hotel is not cheap. We paid £370 for dinner bed and breakfast which for a 3 star hotel I thought was much too expensive. The location however was to die for and the building itself was very impressive. The cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. Very dirty windows and grubby carpets. The parquet flooring in the... More

We had a lovely overnight stay and dinner. The Priory is definitely not a luxurious hotel but it tries hard and has some very lovely decorated rooms in a lovely setting. However it appears it needs a lot of money spent on it to bring it up to a luxurious standard. Some of the chalet buildings close to the hotel... More

Visited for afternoon tea. Sandwiches on good thick bread but fillings a little lacking in taste. Excellent scones. Mixture of nice and dry and disappointing cakes. OK - but don't think that I would return. Excellent service. Lovely surroundings.

The three of us stayed in room 9 . Lovely surroundings but as previous guests have commented the hotel a bit frayed around the edges and the Shower non existent. Very friendly staff but apt to forget implementing requests for top ups in room. Unfortunately the food is the killer and is distinctly average with the cold table at breakfast... More

Priory Bay is a beautiful location for a wedding. I stayed there for 2 nights for my mum's wedding in July 2014 and I can't praise the place highly enough. The staff went over and above to ensure we had a great stay. On arrival one of the ladies on reception carried my pram up two flights of stairs -... More

A friend and I stayed in one of the yurts in July. Our experience all round was excellent. Our yurt was very well and tastefully furnished and we were delighted to be able to have sea glimpses from the balcony. It was a very comfortable night. It was a bit of a trek to the restaurant but I found this... More

Third time we have used hotel which is a little frayed. Our room 11 great with incredible view. Staff could not be more helpful. First organized large table at short notice outside for 10 only 4 of whom staying. Then next day when our taxi did not turn up front of house manager drove us to Bembridge personally. Following morning... More

We visited with our two teenage boys recently, our third visit, staying for four nights. I must agree with some of the previous reviewers that the service is hit and miss, so is the food, the "private" beach is often visited by people in speedboats etc, and the place is fraying round the edged somewhat. BUT....BUT.... We love this place.... More

Priory was a no brainer for our wedding, however my inlaws decided to stay there to get the full experience before we committed. Good job. Summary is that the service was about a 2 out of 10. Yes everyone was very nice and polite however, an hour wait for drinks and menus at lunch, the place was not busy and... More
