Just returned from a midweek break at Priory Bay, staying with three young children in a Tithe Barn (number 42). The barns are quite basic but cosy and clean. Staff were all friendly, particularly the very nice chap who hosted breakfast every day, the food was always good. Great location with the beach a very short walk away and ideal... More

Lovely peaceful setting, good food and service. I guess some of the charm is the slight quirkyness and a touch of "yesteryear" about it. Good customer service with personal follow up correspondence. Mr and Mrs Churches

Lovely hotel set in beautiful grounds with direct access to a sandy private beach. Very pleasant staff and comfortable rooms. Restaurant serves excellent food which isn't nearly as scarily priced as I had feared. Where possible only locally sourced produce is on the menu. They sell Goddard's ale too which is splendid! Would certainly return. Nicely located for trips out.... More

I spent two nights at PB with a friend and we had the most lovely relaxing time. Ralph on reception was so helpful and helped us plan a couple of beautiful long walks along the coast. The hotel was shabby chic and extremely homely with a roaring log fire in the evening and delicious food and private beach. Perfect for... More

My friend took me here a couple of days ago for an afternoon tea and we choose to sit in the comfy lounge which over looks the grounds and sea, it was absolutely delightful, the priory is a beautiful building and the cream tea itself was such a treat, we had a good selection of tasty homemade cakes, scones and... As you approach the Hotel grounds the magnificent vista of the sea is breath taking. Once inside the characteristic Hotel you are welcomed by the friendly staff. Every area of this Hotel is full of character and you feel relaxed immediately. The bedroom we stayed in had a French country theme and extremely spacious with fabulous views of the grounds.... More

My wife and I came across the Priory Bay many years ago whilst visiting friends on the Island. Although promising ourselves we would stay sometime we had never quite got around to it. However, as a birthday surprise for my wife, I booked a two night stay in February. We were not disappointed. The hotel and grounds are just exceptional.... More

Its been a few years since I stayed at Priory Bay, and whatever issues they had with service and food have been completely solved. We had a great weekend, friendly staff, comfortable (premier) room and the grounds and building are fantastic. If you want a lively, loud weekend then Priory Bay is probably not for you, but for a quiet... More
