We found The Boat House by accident and as it is in such a great location decided to stop for lunch and could have stayed all day! The service was efficient and very friendly and the food delicious and excellent value for money.

My first time on the Isle of white and fancied some sea food. The boat house is a very nice pub restaurant and b & b. my wife enjoyed her crab an I had the hake. Both were caught that day and tasted very nice. Overall a very enjoyable evening with good service and and polite staff.

While on holiday at the Isle of Wight, we took a lovely walk from Seaview to Ryde and came across this lovely looking place. We decided to pop in for a drink and were shocked at the cost! £10.10 for a pint of lager and a cider was a bit extortionate in my opinion, but we handed over the money... More

Great location - right on the beach - not far from the ferry terminal (10 min by car). Very nice, clean and comfortable rooms. The pub serves fantastic food (and drinks...). Seaview is a very picturesque village. Take a stroll along the beach at low tide - highly recommended.

We wanted to see the Isle of Wight and didn't want to constantly keep changing hotels This one met our wishes from cleanliness, to views of Portsmouth across the Solent from our window, to a superb restaurant with a varied menu and delicious, full English breakfasts. There was ample off-road parking which can be a challenge in some English hotels.... More

Visited the boathouse for a meal twice; both times the food was great, especially the beer battered fish and the desserts! We hadn't booked Sunday lunchtime and were lucky to get a small table, but service was still good. Nice surroundings with a lovely view over the bay. Staff were very polite and efficient, and were very helpful with regards... More

Went to the Boat House on the recommendation of the staff at the sister pub The Fishbourne (the other two are the original New Inn in Shalfleet and Stag at Newport). It has a great location overlooking the beach and the Solent. It offers gastro pub dining and a nice smart interior. The car park is limited. Well worth a... More

Right by the beach and the park, great views and luckily for us lots of sun on the dog friendly patio. Part of a group of 4 pubs on the Isle of Wight. All are good but share the same menu, maybe a different menu in different locations would be good to encourage repeat business? We were well looked after... More

We went for an anniversary meal. We go to the Boat House every now and then for a pre Xmas meal/take visitng friends etc...as it has always been quite impressive. Not so now. We both felt now that the menu is not as extensive or interesting as it used to be, and getting quite pricey for what you get...£13.95 for... More
