An excellent venue for events, Yelf's has been working with Historic Ryde Society for the past three years. The team is very helpful and efficient, and yesterday's cream tea and Babycham event, with author and raconteur Philip Norman was a huge success! Everyone said how much they'd enjoyed it, and a cream and jam covered scone even featured on Twitter... More

Stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions and found the staff to to very pleasant and helpful. The rooms we have stayed in vary in decor but are always clean and pleasant enough at this price. Common rooms including the conservatory are very comfortable with a reasonably priced bar and light snacks. The evening meals were excellent.3 course... More

The interior of the hotel is in some need of redecoration and the toilets are far inferior to the hotel itself. Had hot cups of tea in the lounge in comfy settees but sadly listened to two young men talk with the assistant manager about how they were only working on bank holiday as it was double time and something... Me and my partner phoned and booked ahead this bank holiday and being bank holiday we knew we was cutting it fine but they still managed to accommodate us in the conservatory staff were friendly and the dinner was perfect I was told on ordering there was a 35 min wait on food which I could understand being as busy... Check in no problems Stairs to room numerous! (over 40) receptionist (pleasant young girl) offered help with bags however since she was no bigger than myself so I helped my husband whilst she struggled with my bag. Very narrow corridor (barely enough room to walk through) led to room. Room not very clean carpet stained/cigarette burns and had not been... More

Stayed here for one night. £75 for a double room. The room was spacious it lead into a dressing area where there were Tea and Coffee making facilities. This then lead to the bathroom also very spacious. The decor is plain and simple but very clean. No views to see from my room as it had two Velux roof windows.... More

This was the first time of staying at the hotel. When booking I forgot to ask for a room near the ground floor and was dismayed to find endless stairs to our room. This was no problem, the staff changed our room straight away to one more suitable. This set the tone for our stay, the staff couldn't do enough... More

We stary at Yelf's for 5 night's and it was really nice. It is a good location surrounded by everything and the Pier is only a walking distance away. The staff are extremely friendly and the hotel is really good. The breakfast is nice and the beds are good and generally the rooms are clean. I am a clean freak... More

Had a lovely few days here over Easter. Staff genuinely friendly and helpful. Good self-service choice for breakfast including cooked options; only thing lacking was baked beans. Room a decent size with sea view and plenty of storage (but why do hotel rooms never have coat hooks so you always have to put coats over a chair?). Everything clean but... More

Where do I start apart an excellent experience. From checking into the hotel right from stepping out the door from a 4 night stay. Me and my partner felt right at home right from the first evening. For a traditional Isle bed and breakfast with a great friendly, family feel, then Yelf is the place for you. First class service... More
