We stayed here in September just for one night when visiting relatives in Ryde. Our room was small but clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room had a decent TV and hospitality tray (including chocolates)! The décor was slightly jaded and could do with a bit of TLC but was certainly good value for money and we had... More

The Isle of Wight is not a very budget friendly place overall. The Dorset Hotel actually came up as the second least expensive hotel / B&B on the island, but we still paid nearly 70 pound a night. Our expectations weren't very high so when we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly and easy going welcome. The look... More

Lovely Victorian style hotel based 5 min walk to bars and restaurants. Just over 4/5 minutes walk down to lovely sandy beach and lawn bowls club open to public. Rooms kept well clean by the staff. Beds are comfortable with TV available in each room. Brilliant breakfast with plenty of choices including salmon or kippers for a small additional charge.... More

We stayed here for the 2nd time as the hotel is very good value for money. The rooms are comfy and is what you expect. The breakfast is really good and there is a great selection of either cold or hot. The staff are very friendly and helpful and was a pleasure talking to them. We would like to visit... More

I stayed here two nights with my boyfriend. We had a double room with shared bathroom. It was a bit 'outdated' but I don't see how that matters since its just a place to sleep. The bed was comfortable and there was a sink in the room. We never had to wait for the bathrooms which was the only concern.... More

This was booked in a hurry as we had to attend a funeral. The hotel is at best shabby. Dirty carpets and corridors. Worse is the parking, two slots out the front with almost impossible to get in and out parking at the rear. The owner insisted that I park around the back and I ended up scraping my car.... More

The hotel reminded me of the places I used to stay in as a kid, the beds were comfortable and the location to the town centre of Ryde is a short walk, there is ample parking and the cooked breakfast was nice. It represented good value for money I would say considering some of the other prices around town so... More

I only spent one night here, which was enough. I found this hotel tacky and dated. The fixtures and fittings were cheap and nasty, with ill-fitting carpets, and the smallest bathroom I’ve been in, however the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was ok, but again using the cheapest quality ingredients, although I was impressed with their... More

Lovely, clean, welcoming bed and breakfast. Good breakfast in the morning, vast choice and extras if wanted. I did notice that they scored 5/5 for cleanliness in their kitchen. Lovely homely feel and staff all friendly. Good location in Ryde. Only two minutes walk into the town centre.
