We've eaten here as a couple and with friends on numerous occasions and, if C8C8's review tells the whole truth it is really out of the normal for that pub whose staff are super-attentive and friendly, including the Scottish waitress! Food is also always well cooked.

Went for Sunday lunch today this afternoon, very nice food, short waiting time, good quality Island Beef and very good service from Justin - your new manager who looked after us very well. Very happy customers!!

I recently visited the Fishbourne Inn with my wife and was very pleased with the whole experience. Upon entering the staff greeted us and made us feel very welcome. We took a seat inside and looked over the menu and specials on the wall. When ordering the food with a blonde staff member (Scottish) she was very polite, friendly and... More

Visited last night whilst staying on the isle. Upon entering (abour 6pm) asked for a table and told choose any and waitress pointed to tables so found one ourselves. Menu on tables and specials on board. Only one other table occupied. Sat down chose food and waited for someone to come and collect our drinks/food order as stated on their... More

Where do I start!! Myself & a work colleague booked into The Fishbourne after a long drive setting off from Manchester at 4.30am the previous day. On arrival the rooms (502 & 504) looked perfectly acceptable, however, it all started to deteriorate after booking the evening meal. It wasn't a busy evening, only 2 other couples present, but we had... More

Stayed here last weekend on a visit to the island. A lovely bright clean en suite room ( I'm sure we got a bigger one than we'd booked) we were so close to the terminal we could see the ferry coming right in it was amazing. We had dinner both nights as there was good vegetarian choice. The kitchen made... More

We had the two for one offer as seen in the county press. It was fabulous, much better than we get in our local area on the mainland! Food was tasty (husband had pork and I had chicken) we also went for the £9.95 bottle of wine which was also good. We have also been to the other pubs in... More

Came in from work and said to hubby 'lets go for a meal down the road in the Fishbourne!' They've got that 2 for 1 deal on. So at half past five I phoned the Inn and booked a table for 7 o'clock. We got ready and head off. Had a nice walk along the lane to Quarr Abbey then... More

My family and I (husband and 2 kids of 9 and 7) stayed at the Fishbourne Inn for 5 days at the end of the summer holiday. This was a great place to stay. We stayed in the large double ensuite room which was nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. Excellent base for exploring the island. The best kept secret is... More

Spend 5 days at The Fishbourne at the begining of October. The hotel is well placed for the ferry to Portsmouth and for a frequent bus service to Ryde and Newport. We found the staff to be friendly and efficient, though on occasions (quite periods) could have done with more. The food was excellent - as mentioned previously the standard... More
