Abingdon Lodge Hotel is a low-budget lodge but without the budget price tag! To simplify our experience I’ve summarised below the pros and cons of our stay. Pros: It had a bed It had a shower Tea and coffee making facilities with tea bags, coffee, sugar and milk. Small working fridge Free carpark (although small) Walking distance to shops and... More

We arrived 9th August, I can only assume in a different hotel to the last reviewer. The rooms were basic but good, towels changed more often than necessary and beds are comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. The owner gave the place a nice laid back feel.

My friend and I booked a twin room for three nights. It was clear the minute we arrived in Reception that customer service was not a high priority. We we're greeted in an unprofessional manner and shown only to the corridor that led to some stairs where we could find our room at the top. We could see immediately on... More

Free WiFi but doesn't work in all areas. The beds are the worst I have slept in, or should say lack of sleep. No toiletries in the rooms and for what they charge this is a disgrace. The only good comment is the fridge in the room was useful. Took my own teabags after reading previous reviews. From other comments... More

My partner and I stayed here for the weekend. The service was great when I asked for a couple extra tea /coffees and they gave us more than enough. Was brilliant having a fridge in our room. Our only issue was the shower head. Clean, quiet, relaxed, good location and friendly.

The price of this guesthouse was Ok but the facilities terrible. None of the usual amenities such as shampoo, shower gel etc, except for tea & coffee, but the teabags were cheap quality. The mattress was terribly uncomfortable, in fact my husband chose to sleep in one of the single beds which was also in the room. On day one... More

We had previously stayed here twice and it was okay for the price however this time the place has really gone downhill. We stayed in room 1. The furnishings i.e TV fridge are good but the mattress was terrible. A mattress that had been picked out of a skip would have been more comfortable. My wife could sleep until she... More

None of the usual hotel facilities - bar, dining etc. You have to go into town to get food. Incredibly noisy road outside - one of the main Ryde through routes - Pelcian crossing going off all night. Vehicles at the traffic lights just outside. Room was hot, even though mild outside, so needed window open. Shower was useless. Welcome... More

We stayed here in 2012, in room 22. we had, had a very long drive (300 miles), and two weddings in two days. as we were so tired we didn't really care about the looks of the place (which could do with a re-vamp) just as long as we could get a good nights sleep. How disappointed was we when... More
