Stayed here weekend of 21/22/23 August. Beautiful house, plenty of off street parking. Not a sound at night! We stayed in room 5, a huge room with a double bed, 2 single beds and a sofa, a wardrobe with loads of hangers!! Double glazing and a couple of heaters (we didn't need these!) Dressing gowns, tea/coffee etc, ensuite, TV, hairdryer,... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Buttercup House. Friendly and chatty hosts Jaqui and Rob. Room large and plenty of space with tea/coffee available. Breakfasts were excellent, particularly the porridge and home made strawberry jam. Lots of hot water available for showers whenever needed.

Our friends and we stayed here for two nights whilst walking the IOW Coast Path. We had a very comfortable stay, excellent accommodation and friendly welcome, extra choices of breakfast menu was very welcome after having lots of traditional English over previous days. Home made jam a must try.

Really beautiful and perfectly maintained B&B with a very nice landlady. We were lucky enough to have a room with a separate sitting area and an amazingly comfortable bed. Breakfast is prepared freshly and one can choose one day in advance from various options. Totally recommended if you stay in Freshwater.

Stayed at this B&B with our brother and sister-in-law and our cousins for 3 nights. The rooms are very beautifully appointed with lots of space. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and breakfasts were delicious. If we're ever back on the Isle of Wight, we would definitely stay at the Buttercup House.

We love it at buttercup house. It's our only choice when staying West Wight. Jacqui and Rob are fantastic hosts. We stayed Saturday night after requesting and securing our favourite room, top of the stairs with the separate living space and the worlds comfiest bed. The house is beautiful and quiet. The breakfast is superb, there's fresh homemade bread every... More

Upstairs rooms are very spacious with easy chairs and/or sofas. Beds are very comfortable. The ensuites are rather small, however, with just a small washbasin Breakfasts were also very good quality. Combination of spaciousness and price would be heard to beat.

Thought it a bit odd to be told when booking that the first night had to be paid by card over the phone. Told if we did not turn up that was that, and the money would be taken ! Shortly after arrival we needed to ask a question so we had to knock on the private door. We were... More

We were very sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay with us. It is common practice to be asked for a deposit when booking into either large or small establishments. Virtually everybody who stays with us has an enjoyable stay and many return time and again. Mrs. Buttercup certainly enjoys her job otherwise she wouldn't have lasted 18... More

Our first stop on a 3 week trip around Isle of Wight, Dorset & Hampshire staying at various B&B's and Inns. What a standard they set. Beautiful room with fridge, dressing gowns, etc and even a lovely sofa to sit on and shower & wc in a separate area. Great choice for breakfast with a lovely big cafetiere of proper... More
