Fountain Inn Cowes is located feet away from the Red Jet passenger ferry terminal. Central position on High Street. It has, I guess around 20 rooms. Staff at reception give a warm welcome. There’s no lift. The building is old. There’s bars and a restaurant. Single room was quiet and big enough for a 4’6” bed, a junk shop quality... More

We arrived to a very warm welcome from Lawrence, he was very attentive and helpful. Our room was small but clean and cosy. All the staff were so happy to help and always smiling. Tom and Ruben were great bar staff and helpful in terms of what to do in the area. The food was yummy especially the roast mmmm... More

Ok, so this isn't the best hotel I've stayed in by a long shot but I was impressed by the managers and staff here. Despite being short staffed, despite having complaining customers as they had to wait a while for meals etc the staff never failed to lose their positive attitude and genuine smiles. Well done! It's apparent how hard... More

Friendly but our room was far too small for 2 adults 2children. Could not get out one side of double bed due to z bed in way. Furniture had to be removed from room to fit travel cot in. Z bed itself was very poor mattress. Bathroom needs attention and a good scrub. Not ideal to be right at top... More

The fountain Inn is an inn - restaurant and pub downstairs and rooms up to top level of the building. Building is a bit neglected and not ready for handicap guests - no lift. You can find some charm in its chaotic architecture with many single steps between almost all rooms. Was it a test for drunk sailors? Location is... More

Booked a room for New Year's Eve, we had a second floor front facing room, the room was very tastefully decorated and spacious. Excellent tea/coffee making facilities, great wi-fi connection. Although we did not have an evening meal here we did have breakfast, lovely light breakfast room, great choices of cooked and buffet breakfasts, very nice helpful staff. My only... More

Cold and hungry we were drawn in by 2 mains for £9.99! Not expecting much but happy to have somewhere to sit and warm up.... We chose the chilli and the macaroni cheese and couldn't have been happier with the quality and quantity of our lunch. As for value - it was amazing!

I did an overnight stay on business last month. Really lovely place. My room was beautifully decorated. I didn't dine there in the evening but enjoyed sampling their breakfast - there is a good selection to choose from and they make a mean eggs benedict!! My only gripe was I had serious wifi issues which proved inconvenient . Would still... More

Excellent staff & service. They really make you welcome & you feel they care & make your stay memorable. Also the breakfast & choice of dinner is restaurant fare. They are located adjacent to the Red Funnel passenger ferry in East Cowes.

Stayed here for one night on business. It is a great pub/restaurant/hotel. The room was very clean and tidy. i was on the 1st floor and there was a little noise coming up from the pub below, but it wasnt too much of a problem and it didnt go on too late The location is right next to the redjet...
