As soon as we arrived the owner (Sarah) came out to welcome us, which was very nice!. There were 6 of us so we used all 3 rooms and they were all immaculate. The decor was maybe a little bit dated but the rooms were very comfortable. Tea making facilities in every room and nice fluffy towels in the bathrooms.... More

Well away from the beaten track, but with lovely views over the countryside. Sarah made us so welcome and couldn't have been friendlier. The breakfasts were huge and delicious, and we had everything we needed - including putting the heating on at the end of July so our room was lovely and cosy when we returned in the evening after... We had a lovely three night stay at Marshpools for the Hay Festival. Sarah was a very attentive host and couldn't do enough for us. This B&B is one to be avoided! Dated 60's decor, mould in the shower cubicle, dirty cups and lime scale in the kettle, fusty smelling throughout the whole place. We was not told times to check out and so we should agreed to leave around 1pm with Rodger . At ten past 1 ,the landlady banged on the door said... More
