On arrival, we recieved a very warm welcome and introduction to the owners. Very pleasant and polite, followed by very easy clear understanding of information, generally asked by guests. When showed the room we was very pleased with the facilities, very clean organised and a very welcome homely and vibrant room. Cleanliness was immaculate, with all the necessarys there. Drinking,... We stayed at the Steppes for three nights, We stayed in the Blue Room, which has his own front door, which gives you a private feeling. Lin and Martin are great hosts, very nice and helpfull. The breakfast was great. Lin bakes her own bread. She also makes her own jams and we could indulge from their own honey. Every... More

We needed a place for one night in, or near, Hereford and happened to book into this one. We arrived on a miserable, wet night and were glad to have reached our destination an the end of a short track that leads to the house. We only needed one night so had booked the "Red Room". Our room was not... More

I am writing this review on the drive home from this amazing B&B because I don't want to forget to review this place! Firstly the hosts Lin and Martin are extremely friendly and accommodating people. A couple of days before arriving we had decided we wanted to arrive earlier than the check in time so we could have the whole... More

Booked here on spec for 1 night on Business - The rooms are fantastic - well furnished and decorated. Very quiet and opening onto a lovely garden - just a pity it was raining. Breakfast in the morning was wonderful - with everything asked for cooked to perfection. I'll be back!

Lovely location, very quiet and pretty and short drive to Hereford. Room was immaculate and breakfast was yummy. Particularly lovely was the fresh berries with yoghurt. The bread was an artisan loaf and cut as ordered and delicious. Lots and lots attention to detail which made for a very comfortable stay. Plus a slice of homemade cake on arrival! Attentive... More

I have stayed in lots of b and b's , most comfortable and ok, and often think I will go again, but seldom do. The Steppes has changed that! I would willingly travel the 200 miles just for the delight of being there again. Wonderful stay, lovely hosts, supreme comfort, great breakfast, and perfect peace. Sitting in one of the... More

The main house built in the 1600s with self contained chalet type rooms. You get your own front door to a lovely clean modern room. Fantastic breakfast served by Lin and Martin cooked, continental,& specials including eggs from their own chickens, honey from their hives. Set in beautiful quiet countryside and a Pub at the end of the road. Bliss*******... More

I returned back to the Steppes as I was on a long weekend vacation with my friends recently. I previously stayed here last year for several months whilst on business, and loved it so much and was looking forward to returning back. Lin and Martin are gracious and attentive hosts; the breakfast is delicious, with a great selection on offer from... More

We stayed at the steppes on a Saturday night whilst visiting friends living in Hereford, the place it's self is only a 10 pound taxi from the centre and with that distance you have the peace and quite of the area it is. We stayed in the green room, it was lovely, everything was new and clean and the extra... More
