Had a very pleasant stay, good ambiance, good food, very friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere in the great hall. Stayed in a refurbished bedroom, lovely, very nice showers. I will be going back again, very relaxing stay. more

I attended a wedding at this hotel and I would not recommend it to anyone who hopes for the kind of personal experience that most people want for their wedding. The hotel appears to be 4 function suites with rooms attached (there is apparently a leisure centre as well but nobody bothered to tell us anything about it). There were... more

Mercure Letchworth Hall has only 2 function suites currently and can therefore only hold 2 weddings. This hotel is far from a wedding factory - we are a beautiful manor house set in 8 acres of grounds which makes an idilic setting for weddings. Each Bride and Groom get their own wedding coordinator to look after their wedding day and...

My partner and I attended a wedding here. The grounds of the hotel are very nice but let down by the rooms and staff. Checking in was slow and the receptionist was very curt. The rooms are dated (very 1980's). When we checked out (again slow) the invoice system was down and we were told the invoice would be posted... more

This hotel was refurbished in november 2009 to a modern specification. All rooms are to a 4 star standard. This hotel offers good service and value for money and is more than comparible with the hotels in this area.

I have stayed a couple of times at this hotel, the first time was during a refurbishment and was difficult to say the least, however I was already booked in for a return visit after the refurbishment was due to be finished so I thought it only fair to give the benefit of the doubt. I am glad I returned,... more

We (9 of us) travelled from Scotland the night before for my brothers wedding. (We had been unable to stay in the Letchworth as it had been fully booked so we stayed in a nearby hotel. ) We arrived at the Letchworth around noon hoping to have a light lunch at the restaurant before preparing for the ceremony at 2... more

Wherever possible guests can check in early, however, it is impossible for us to guarentee this as our check out time is noon and it would be foolish for us to gurentee all guests an early check in. Bridal parties are offered changing rooms and it the decission of the bride and groom whether they accept this or not.. In...

Upon arrival the staff were attentive and friendly. The Bar and Restaurant - recently refurbished very tastefully keeping the original features of Letchworth Hall. The food was extremely good and service in the restaurant was wonderful. The ground around the Hotel (although in a remote location) were charming and relaxing and very well kept. more

While this is a nice enough venue, it feels overwhelmingly like a wedding factory. The nice bits stop at the threshold of the camera shot. Rooms are average for the cost, bathrooms are a little fiddly due to the gimmicky fittings. Over al though, it was the clueless-ness of the staff that made an impression. No-one seemed to know what... more

We stayed one night while attending a wedding elsewhere. Refurbishment was continuing, but did not affect us.. The room was large, comfortable, well equipped and recently decorated. There was an apologetic letter about noise from events at the hotel, but we didn't hear any - perhaps we were lucky. Breakfast and service was good. Staff were friendly. Surrounding grounds beautifully maintained.... more
