Good cheap hotel. Great building with loads of character. Clean room and hot water. Lovely welcoming atmosphere and the landlady could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. Lively atmosphere until pub closes, but it is a pub with a nightclub attached, so stay up and have a drink!

Let me start by saying this hotel (or pub with rooms!) is cheap! £25 or £35 per night. So I wasn't expecting The Ritz! True, it's not without it's problems (hot water pressure, for one), but I really didn't have much to complain about? And, first and foremost, it is a pub with a nightclub in the cellar area. Having... More

I stayed for one night as there was nowhere else, the room was horrible with constant noise from the road at one end and noise from the outside bar at the other. I will be sleeping in the car next time rather than wasting my money here! I had to clean my mug before making a coffee and the TV... More

Very bad, no sleep, no pleasure. No recommendations whatsoever. When we checked in, the hotel looks completely different from online, the pictures lied. Then we thought it should be ok. When we entered inside, smell of detergent was so strong. All furnitures looks dated and shabby , no tv either. However, we can tolerate with it but we cannot tolerate with... More

We stayed at this "hotel" on 30 August as everywhere else was fully booked in the vicinity. When we arrived, the owner said it was a good job we hadn't booked the budget room as it had been trashed the night before!! The "refurbished" room (no. 5) had paint peeling from the ceiling and cobwebs, paint knocked off the door... More

We come to Leominster quite often to see my mother in law and usually stay in the Talbot, which is opposite this 'hotel', but it was fully booked for a wedding so we ended up at the Royal Oak for two nights over the bank holiday. It was awful, not Fawlty Towers awful that you can laugh about, but horrendous.... More

Well where do you start. We went to see family that we hadn't seen for years. We also had never been to shropshire. When arriving we pulled into a pot holed littered car park with so called members of staff and a child hovering the outside decking. We went into the main bar which didnt seem to bad although in... I was doing a cycle sportive, my wife was working in newtown, 50miles from Leominster. I saw this dump on the net thought it sounded ok for the price. We checked in went to our room. It wasn't brilliant but for the price it was reasonable. It was a couple of hours after we were having a drink at tje... More

Disgusting...smell, cleanliness...everything was horrible...yes it's cheap but this should not be an excuse. There were all sorts of objects on the floor...I didn't dare look under the beds. Didn't dare try the food or drink.

I had booked 2 rooms for 4 of us. We had 2 dogs with us, and arrived after 9pm. The first thing that hit me as I entered the hotel was the noise!! there was what sounded like a heavy metal band practicing in one room and loud music from a wedding reception coming from the hall next door!
