The Talbot should trigger the feelgood factor, being old and homely-looking - but instead it exemplifies the sad side of British hotelkeeping. The Hotel is a typical 'olde worlde' pub/restaurant/hotel - it smells of smoke, fried food and furniture polish! I'm sure that once it was a thriving hotel but its glory days have passed, as have those of Leominster. Fine for a brief stay and reasonably priced - friendly staff, surprisingly good food.
