We stopped here for lunch on our way home and were really impressed by the service and the cleanliness as well as the good value for money. We enjoyed our food and we were impressed by the efficiency and friendliness. This is a place making the most of all its opportunities. If we are in the area we will definitely... More

Good menu and a wide range of beers. We sat in the newly created garden at the rear of the hotel bar and enjoyed a freshly-cooked lunch. All very pleasant under the sun umbrella out of the heat of the day

We were on the way to Bath and stopped by to grab something to eat . Two sirloin steaks two pints and extra sauce £39. Beautifully cooked piece of meat . Fairly enjoyed . Many thanks to Krys for nice and quick service . All the best .

Kington has an awful lot going for it, great gardens, country walks galore and an amazing owlery centre, so it's no wonder we wanted so much to feature the Burton hotel as one of our 12 accommodations in Herefordshire. This hotel has been a hotel for many years but the present owners in my opinion are the ones who deserve... More

We returned to the Burton Hotel yesterday evening, firstly for drinks in the friendly bar with friends who had been guests at our wedding there a year ago, and then for a cosy meal in the restaurant. The starter of garlic mushrooms with black pudding was very moreish. We chose the duck in cherry sauce for the main course and... More

We halve just had a 2 night KGB break at the Burton hotel. It is in the extremely quite town of Kington where there is very little to do day and night. The hotel itself is an old building and in some public areas could do with TLC but the bedrooms are fine and have been revamped to a good... More

This is an old hotel that has many rooms ( or seems to!) on the ground floor. Unfortunately they are not named or signed so it is easy to get lost. However, we had a lovely big bedroom on the first floor, with a large ensuite - all very clean and tidy. We had joined family and friends for a... More

We've thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay here. The town is beautiful, and the hotel is warming, friendly and the rooms are very spacious and clean. The food was amazing here and I recommend having their Sunday beef dinner. Jessica the on site beauty therapist was very good also, she was friendly, didn't rush and took her time during the... More

I purchased this stay as a spa break for my wife. We had a lovely stay the hotel and its staff were excellent and could not fault them at all. The room was lovely and clean and well presented. I thought the spa was excellent as it was never busy and the facilities offered were great. Would not hesitate in... More

A lovely long weekend. The leisure centre and the breakfast service are really good, and the serving person on breakfast was particularly good. The room was spacious and clean. However, the décor leaves a lot to be desired and the reception staff were impolite and uninterested in providing any form of service at all. Plus the front door was too... More
