I visited with 14 friends on a golfing trip. The hotel has a slightly tired feel but it is still most acceptable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served efficiently and offered everything you would expect. The bar was lively and full of locals always a good indicator of what to expect. The bedroom was most satisfactory.... More

This is a good mid-range hotel in an historic building. The staff were friendly, but the hotel interior needs a refurbish. The rooms are comfortable, with interesting (original?) paintings, with a pleasant bathroom. However, we did hear noise in the early morning (6 am) and evening (6pm) from the running machine from the gym. The food served in the bar... More

Service excellent food very good room clean but in need of refurb, location very good, the pool and sauna were very well run,the staff at the hotel added that bit extra with a smile and a sense of humour. Only downside were aggressive locals at the bar

The staff were very friendly, led by the owner John Robinson and his wife. I got a piece of his Birthday cake! A family feel to the staff and the hotel. The hotel is an old building but I find the stairs and different levels all part of the charm. There is quite a large bar to relax in the... More

This was our second stay at this hotel. Room was again very clean and comfortable. Good free wifi. Breakfast was good, though no fresh muffins/breads or oatmeal offered. Service was excellent. Desk personnel very helpful with directions. Great place to stay and use as base for walking. Health club and pool wonderful!

I travel to Kington on business on a regular basic, and every time choose the Burton. The staff have always been very pleasant and helpful, always had a different room, but always managed a good nights sleep. The food in the restaurant is great, breakfast good. All in all great stays.

Our annual golf holiday was based around the Burton hotel. The package had been recommended and didn't disappoint. Played 3 courses ..Kington , Leominster and Sapey. All were excellent. The Hotel was perfect for us. Good food and beer and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Thanks to John and all his team for a great weekend.

Owner John was a friendly chap, the staff where courtious (particularly the young lad at breakfast) - attached Gym & Swimming pool are excellent modern facilities. Only Negtive is the sometimes patchy wifi, but don't let that put you off. A hotel with great character and very welcoming into the Kington community.
