Susan provided a huge bowl of fresh fruit salad with breakfast! After several days hiking on the Offa's Dyke Trail, that was as welcome as a beer and a hot shower. Possibly more so, as it was rarer. I didn't quite scoff the lot but I had a good try. Susan gave us a warm welcome and helpful guidance on... More

Warm welcome from Susan to her beautiful home. Delicious breakfast. 5 mins walk to town centre. Handy for walking we were doing Mortimer trail and Kington right on the end. Kington is a beautiful town.

We were welcomed and advised by the lovely host; she provided tea & cake on arrival and spent time to advise us of the places to eat. She even looked up our travel needs for the next day. We had walked the Mortimer Trail and this was our last stop; Kington was a good last place as lots of places... More

This is a great B&B if you're walking the Offa's Dyke path (as we were) or simply staying in Kington. Susan has just the right touch - a lovely friendly welcome which includes tea and cake, beautiful clean rooms and a fabulous breakfast. She's found the right job to be in and we'd recommend this B&B to anyone.

Stayed for one night whilst doing the Offa's Dyke walk, less than 400 yards from the official route. Susan gave us a very warm welcome, with tea and cakes (very much appreciated) our room was a delight with an ensuite which contained a superb bath as well as a shower unit. We spent a very comfortable and quiet night there.... More

An excellent b and b . The owner cannot do enough for you , excellent breakfast - whatever you want, gluten free etc etc. Lovely comfy rooms/beds, rooms beautifully decorated . One of our party had to pull out at short notice due to accident for the last night and Susan did not charge. Life saving tea and coffee provided... More

Stayed here one night whilst walking the Offa's Dyke and was pleased that De Lacy House met my expectations following the great reviews it has received. We were met by Susan who quickly had us settled in with rooms allocated, boots drying in the hallway and cake and tea served. Sue was knowledgeable regarding the walk we were making and... More

Susan made us feel welcome from the very beginning, offering us tea and cake in the guest lounge where there were also plenty of books, maps and local books about Kington available, as well as a tv. We had booked the double room with a private bathroom next door. The bed was very comfortable and there were nice touches, ie,... More

This is a very comfortable B&B in Kington - I had an immaculate room and bathroom with tub - just what was needed after a long day's walking. Susan is friendly and did a good breakfast and packed lunch. An ideal stop for those walking the ODP.

Walk weary old blokes arrive and they faff about with their dropped off bags. The result at De Lacy is that you get a smile, a lovely bedroom and tea and cake in a comfortable residents' lounge. This is an excellent B&B just a few yards from the well-loved Olde Tavern pub and thankfully the NHS minor injuries unit (good... More
