Walk weary old blokes arrive and they faff about with their dropped off bags. The result at De Lacy is that you get a smile, a lovely bedroom and tea and cake in a comfortable residents' lounge. This is an excellent B&B just a few yards from the well-loved Olde Tavern pub and thankfully the NHS minor injuries unit (good... More

This stay was one of our best. The lady of the house was welcoming, service minded and had a really nice room for us upstairs with private facilities including a bath tub. Lovely breakfast with fresh fruit and yoghurt. A good stop along Offa's Dyke path.

A wonderful welcome with tea and cake - plus a great pile of newspapers to pack into our wet walking boots. A beautiful house to stay in - a lovely ensuite room - plus a guest lounge. Susan was most informative about the facilities of Kington and also about places to eat. Lovely breakfast - fresh fruit salad is always... More

Penultimate night on this year's stretch of the Offa's Dyke path. Great welcome from Susan - with tea and cake within minutes of our arrival. Very comfortable and a great nights' sleep. And a superb breakfast with a wide choice to send us on our way. A few minutes off the Offa's Dyke path - but v close to a... More

I've stayed here three times now with mum when we've been to the Hay Festival, and we've not had a bad thing to say. Susan is really friendly, the first time we went she'd made the bed up as a double, but gave us cake and coffee and changed it over for us with no fuss. Although it was two... More

This BandB in the heart of Kington was quiet, comfortable and clean. The land lady was very welcoming and kind. On meeting us we were fed with fabulous English tea and hot scones. The breakfast was tasty and large. Thank you, we felt thoroughly spoilt!

Great value B & B. The room was lovely, bed & linen very comfortable and a spacious en-suite with both bath and separate shower. However, what really elevated this establishment above the usual is the fabulous breakfast on offer. Wow - great quality and choice (Good thing there was the day ahead to walk it off!).

From the moment she opened the door Susan made us feel most welcome. Tea and homemade cakes on arrival were a lovely touch after our long journey. Everywhere was very clean and beds were comfortable. Then came breakfast which was delicious, everything we needed and more. We will definitely be going back. I highly recommend this B&B and it's lovely... More

Susan is a great host, chatty, thoughtful and organised. With a welcoming, laid back feel De Lacey House was the perfect stop after a day on The Offas Dyke trail. Great welcome with tea and cakes a good recommendation for supper (The Oxford Arms nearby) and a splendid breakfast. Would be happy to return.
