American Wilderness Campground is one of the best places I have ever visited or had the pleasure to stay at. I have been all over the world throughout my life and I have to say that the staff here is wonderful. They take the time to answer any questions a person has. They answer the phone all the time when... More

We spent 2 nights camping here with our RV as it was close by for an out-of-town soccer tournament. "High Quality Camping Amenities" apparently means a total of 2 women's showers and 2 flush toilets and 2 men's showers and 2 flush toilets for 130 RV sites plus additional tent sites. The showers had no place/tray to put soap or... More

and was very muddy and wet....Would be a nice place for a family however we have none. Every thing was mushy, the site pad was so wet not enough gravel and someone near us got stuck and had to be pulled out by a tow truck. Weather was not their fault but it was not a great experience for us.... More

Got married there recently and wouldn't recommend it first off they wanted to charge us just to use the playground. How can you tell kids they can't play on a playground? Second off we paid $100 to have the staff clean up after and a lot of my family had to stay to clean up. They also didn't want to... More

Spent a weekend with my family tent camping at American Wilderness. The staff was so helpful and friendly. Allison answered all our questions, gave us great suggestions, and provided us with a schedule of events, all of which helped to make a great weekend for my family. The swimming lake is so clean and they even have sprinklers and play... More

I am a college student who went to visit my boyfriends parents at the campground. I NEVER write reviews but this place was awful. Don't get my wrong the grounds are beautiful. But my boyfriend had to pay $10 to stay the night with his family at their campsite in their RV. I had to pay $6 to even visit... More

The campground grounds well maintained, but the restrooms are pit toilet(out houses) which we were told when booking we would be near the restroom area if we wished to use them, due to not having sewage, but did not explain they were outhouses. The deal breaker was my family came in to visit us we traveled to see. They charge... More

I took my family to this campground for the weekend before school started back again several weeks ago and we had a great time. They had events planned out, which showed me that the staff really likes to be a part of their grounds, rather than seeming to be out solely for a business, you can tell that they really... More

manager is rude, talks down to you and acts like their doing you a favor by letting you stay there. facilitys like shower room and flush toilets are a joke. men's side has 2 flush toilets and just 2 sowers, not to mention that one of the showers hardly has any water pressure. just a trickle. and this is the...
