Just one short overnight stay and made so very pleasant by such a lovely welcome and friendly staff (Aileen and Jenny were stars). The hotel is very clean and well maintained and the staff show a pride in it. Various eateries just a stones throw away (the one I chose in the local Jarmans retail/leisure park where you'll need to... More

This Travelodge is situated in a very convenient position for the centre of Hemel Hempsted. It has its own car park that is charged at £ 3 for 24 hours. The rooms are up to their usual good standards.Just across the road is the car park for the shopping centre that you can cut through to get into the town centre.

Room was great. Lots of space for the 2 kids under 4. Very clean bed linen. Carpet a bit poor. Parking ok. Staff great at check in, poor at check out. Not impressed by staff smoking outside entrance and at back of hotel all the time, and we were only there 12 hours!

I stayed here recently and it only cost me 39 pounds. It was clean and comfortable and as I only required a bed for the night it was absolutely ideal. Check in and out simple, staff happy to provide directions No problems at all. Would likely use again

We decided to stay here as we were visiting London and didn't want to pay London prices. It may not be the most aesthetically pleasing hotel I have ever stayed at but what it lacks in looks it makes up for in comfortable beds. I had a great night's sleep and would definitely stay here again.

After missing a flight and being upset, we booked into the hotel. We needed to print new boarding passes and asked if there was anywhere in town we could do this. Without hesitation, Aileen, the receptionist said she could help us with it, for which we were very grateful. We were helped later by Frankie, who told us where we... More

Hotel can be very noisy, as it welcomes homeless social housing guests from the surrounding area. Also guests drinking and smoking outside the main front door can be very off putting. Reception said its because of its town centre location?

Stayed overnight with our dog - and is very close to large open areas where dog can be let off lead. You get what you pay for (which is why I have given 4 stars) - inexpensive, basic, clean, good shower and comfortable bed. Easy to find on sat nav and car parking (which you have to pay separately for)... More
