Stayed here on a Saturday night after attending a friends party in Sarrat. Receptionist gave us a warm welcome. Room was clean and reasonably sized, with a view of the garden. Breakfast was excellent - though service at bringing us tea could have been quicker. Would suggest they take the person off the breakfast serving table and let guests help... more

Arrived at the Bobsleigh and was promptly seen to and given my room. Once in the room I was reasonably pleased as it was a large room with a large jacuzzi/spa bath which I was looking forward to using after a 4 hour drive. Although the room was a bit dated it looked in reasonably good shape and clean. Unfortunately... more

Having stayed at many MacDonald Hotels over the years, I was disappointed with the Bobsleigh. We were finishing a golfing trip of the UK and wanted a hotel near to Heathrow, but always try to avoid the Holiday Inn style concrete blocks and thought the Bobsleigh would offer some traditional hospitality. Then we get there and the rooms are not... more

I have just spent two lots of 3 days at the Bobsleigh hotel whilst on a Business course in nearby Hemel Hempstead.I feel so sorry for the lovely friendly & helpful staff who are so overworked trying to man the bar & restaurant at the same time resulting in waits of almost an hour between ordering & food being served.... more

I had booked into the Premier Tavel Inn in Kings Langley, but somehow they had overbooked?? and rang me to say they had managed to get me a room in the Bobsleigh. It was £91 for room only (part funded by Premier Travel Inn.). Not good value for money. Small double room, would not have felt at all happy if... more

We've stayed in lots of Macdonald Hotels and have come to rely on them for their charm and attention to detail. It was my birthday so we booked this hotel especially as it was convenient for a wedding nearby. We expected a country retreat and even booked the four poster room. It was disappointing in line with other Macdonald Hotels.... more

we just wanted a quiet night away, but not too far as my daughter had just had a baby so wanted to be close by, so we gave the hotel a ring and yes they had a room with a jacuzzi, so we booked a 2 night break. upon arrival there was a party in full swing, which we were... more

Stayed one night at this hotel. Found a great late deal on the net and paid less for a night here than in the generic 'could be anywhere' inn or lodge. It is set back on an A road - just in Bovingdon, yet behind the rather disjointed first appearnce of an old hotel that has been extended, lies a... more
