After reading some of the reviews for this hotel we were a little concerned. However, only staying for one night we did not worry too much. We had nothing to worry about. The hotel is in a lovely setting right on the river. We stayed in a family room which was spacious, clean and had plenty of hot (actually very... more

I can't believe how similar my experience was to Finicular's. We too lost hot water mid-evening, never had an apology but were treated with obdurate insolence by the supposed acting manager who has clearly never met the words 'customer service' and has no idea what the concept means. This Parvez proved to be a most unpleasant man and our stay... more

I've usually found the best Western franchise reliable, but will be much more wary of their brand after a truly farcical experience at the Watermill. Things started badly when I rang to get directions to the hotel, was then passed to someone else and took several minutes to establish I was practically outside! The room was okay even if the... more

On this occasion our corporate Travel Agent messed up and failed to make the reservation at another nearby hotel that I was expecting. They hastily booked me into the Watermill by way of a replacement for this and so I arrived a little tired and flustered. This small privately run hotel is set in a nice spot by the side... more

Having generally chosen the premier travel inns throughout the country, I decided to break with tradition and go Best Western on this business trip. I wasn't overly impressed with the one in SevenOaks but I have to say that I was presently surprised by this particular hotel. On site parking was more than adequate. I did book a superior room... more

The hotel is set in picturesque surrounds and on a sunny august afternoon it was a very peaceful and pheasant place to be. Reception staff were welcoming, although didn't accept that we would not be wanting any extras, dinner, breakfast, papers etc, until i had declined several times. we chose to eat at the pub opposite which offered a reasonable... more

Three night stay to visit NT properties nearby. Nicely situated and pleasant hotel and quite comfortable, but the service left a lot to be desired. Requested daily newspaper, didn't receive it first morning, delivered next door next morning, but got it right on the last morning. Later found I had been charged for the newspaper I didn't get. Tea making... more

There is limited accomodation at sensible prices in this area and this place has a bit more character than the HI Express. Don't pay the posted price though, you can get a room for 1 for £55/night on the Best Western website or Laterooms (and the cancellation policy is better through Best Western). There is a good pub a couple... more

Simply unacceptable levels of cleanliness. Staff polite but not apologetic. I stayed here a s business traveller and was given a new room at the front of the hotel. The room was clean on the surface but it soon became clear that corners were being cut. A selection of dandrufff and other unidentified dust was to be found on the... more
