This is a real local's pub right in the centre of the old part of Hemel Hempstead We had Room 6 (double ensuite) located at the top of some stairs (no lift) but at least they were straight. Parking is at the back of the pub - there is no space at the front. Suggest contacting pub for directions beforehand.... More

We had room two after booking a deluxe twin online. The beds were horrendous! My mum who travelled with me suffers with a bad back; by morning she was in pain! I don't suffer with a bad back but it was sore all day. The bathroom was great although for disabled? Nowhere when booking stated this although it did give... More

Staff were really accommodating and helpful. They offered advice on getting to the nearby attractions and restaurants. Room had a rustic feel with classical wooden decor. They shut the pub at 11 so no noise disturbance at night and you have a key to get in whenever you need. If I was in the area I would stay here again.

Stayed one night and would stay again. Stephen although very busy was very helpful. Room smallish but clean and well equipped. Food excellent in evening - husband raved about duck egg on bubble and squeak; home made burgers good too. Very good English breakfast. Overall an excellent experience for a very reasonable price. what made visit so good was the... More

We have been working away with early starts. Firstly the accommodation was clean and tidy, with a very good shower. The room we were in had air con. Breakfast was cooked from scratch good sausages. The chef was very accommodating and got up early two days running to cook us breakfast. We stayed for seven nights and would do so again.

Had a lovely time! Room was lovely perfect for what we needed. A short drive away from Harry Potter. Free parking behind the pub. My only niggle was that we were on the front and it was quite noisy at night. I think the window were single pane. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was gorgeous

The High Street in Hemel has been in need of a revived Olde Kings Arms as a proper public house. This is a revelation! Decent draft beer and lovely French (and other of course) wine by the glass. Music is calm and cool. Thanks to you all. Long waited. Very welcome.

Greeted by friendly staff. The room was quite small but clean and decorated well. The location is in the old town so a short walk from plenty of pubs and restaurants. The pub shuts at 11pm so we both enjoyed a good nights sleep.

The Olde Kings Arms is great value, very welcoming and does a cracking cooked breakfast. Our room was huge and very comfortable and the bathroom lovely. The staff were really friendly and helpful. All at a fantastic price.
