I booked a room last year December and I was completely shocked with state of room after checking in, the entire room needed redecorating, I went back to reception and asked for different room. The receptionist relocated to a different room, when went back up i found out my key card wasn't working. Went back down stairs to get my... More

I stayed last summer at this hotel. The first room allocated had no air conditioning, yet the (huge) windows were facing west and so the room was like a sauna. I asked for a room change and was moved without problem to another room, same layout. Paint was damaged on walls, bathroom was not very clean, chipped and stained tiles... More

Recently stayed here when on business nearby. The hotel is part of a David Lloyd complex and the checkin is the gym reception desk. Whilst there is nothing massively wrong with this hotel, it's not really a hotel. The room was a very generous size and bed was ok. The chair at the desk in room was ridiculously uncomfortable! We... I had read everyone's review about this hotel and was dreading staying here, however I found no fault in this hotel. The room was tidy, clean and nicely decorated. I had a good night sleep and would defiantly stay here again.

Clean, comfortable, quiet room with all I needed. The restaurant/cafe was noisy with the children of the health centre running around, but staff competent, polite and efficient. Can't comment on value because bill was taken care of by host but I couldn't have had a more comfortable stay.

Stayed here with my wife as we were attending a birthday function also in The Hanger. The obvious plus was to walk downstairs in a minute or so to attend the function and only have the return journey at the end of the evening (or early morning as it happens). I have to say though, that the room we were... More

This is a budget hotel within a David Lloyd Centre. The public area to the rooms is in a very poor state and needs a good lick of paint as a minimum. The rooms are clearly quite tired too with cupboards etc clearly needing replacing. The room was clean but the bathroom in particular was very dark and the bath... More

If you want to feel ripped off, stay here. Tired stairway with patched paint work, knackered doorways, shower rail coming off the wall, and a dirty bedroom. There was even a sign above the bed lamp apologising it was broken, and a huge patch over where someone must have pulled it out of the wall - in frustration. Bed was very... More

Stay at this hotel often due to work (not by choice) and everytime I stay here it gets worse. Today, my room has... Broken tv remote, ironing board with no iron, air con that's not working (and would be useful as room is freezing) and I to make the bed as the art of tucking in a sheet hasn't been... More

I've stayed over a dozen times at this hotel in the last few months. It is a quirky place. Built in an old aircraft hanger, it has at least history behind it. But this isn't really a hotel. It is a David Lloyd gym and the rooms are very much an afterthought. The receptionists are always very polite, though the... More
