I suppose this is inevitable when the hotel is closing, but this was the most disgusting service I have ever experienced in twenty years of travelling. Upon returning to our room at midnight, we were faced with thumping techno music from a wedding at the hotel. Upon being asked to move rooms, I was told by the duty manager this... More

Not one smile from any member of staff , no knowledge of my booking, a menu that you would be dissappointed to see in your local pub, very ordinary food.....worst burger I have ever eaten at a decent hotel. Used a Travelzoo voucher but had to buy extras to get any chips veg etc....All in all a dissappointing experience !!

We stayed for a weekend to celebrate my birthday. They didn't have our booking when we arrived, we were concerned after a 4 hour drive but they found us a room and joked there may well be someone in there but to let them know if we weren't happy! Staff aren't the best, but I guess they are losing their... More

We book a two night break here last week and were very impressed. The room was good with all the usual facilities and a very large modern bathroom. The restaurant was excellent with good food that was well presented and the service was attentive but not over whelming.. We would certainly recommend this hotel.

This was the 3rd time I had been to this Hotel. Yet again it did not disappoint. Had a travelzoo voucher for a 2 course dinner with a glass of bubbly. There was a very good choice of food, with starters, main courses and puddings. You could either have a starter or a pudding with a main course. Very good... More

My Fiance and I had booked our wedding back in May 2013 which was due to be held on 17th April 2014. Everything was in place and all suppliers booked until I received the dreaded call last Friday (Valentines Day No Less) to explain that this Hotel is closing in March, and that they were no longer able to hold... Really easy to find and plenty of parking. Staff were friendly and offered to help with luggage. Room wasn't in main building. A bit of a walk but made up with nice spacious room and comfy bed. Internet access a good bonus too. Good breakfast with wide selection of hot and cold food. Close to town centre and enjoyed wandering!... More

We stopped for one night, dinner, bed & breakfast. Our room was not in the main hotel, but outside in a courtyard, only a very short distance to walk. The room was spacious, with a good sized bathroom containing both a bath & a separate shower. The food was all very nice & well presented, very professional staff. Easy to... More

Stayed here New Year's Day. From start to finish service and place was impeccable! We went for the superior double and was worth the extra! Nice big room, good bathroom and comfy bed. Breakfast was good too although I'd have liked a buffet :) 10 out of 10

Stayed on business. Pleasant hotel , good size bedroom, good breakfast, pleasant staff. This would have been avery good stay apart from the bathroom...no heating or towel rail. You have to get up and bash the room heating up to full whack then get back into bed watch telly until the bathroom gets warm enough to go into in your underpants... More
